It’s hard to KEEP UP in this thread but can anyone please confirm if it truly took an hour for the family to report her missing to the police, even after seeing blood?

We still don't know the answer to that yet.

There was talk early on by the Sheriff of them being alerted at 11.

Then we have the Arizona DPS alert that states
"At approximately 12:15 on 02/01/2026, family was alerted that Nancy had not shown up for church."

Carlos, the guy who was detained. His MIL said he delivered packages in Tucson between M-F. I wonder where he stayed when he was in Tuscon or if he drove back every night. Maybe it is possible he delivered a package and his phone pinged at Circle K or pinged late at night near where Guthrie lived. I would hope the FBI wouldn't SWAT every single delivery driver who has been to Nancy's address.

I am genuinely curious now this proves she made it home? Can it not be disconnected remotely?
Think of it like a blue tooth speaker. It disconnects at a certain distance

No word on Uber driver. I still think its strange AG would not pick up NG for a dinner which was all of 10 min drive. Just bizarre
Maybe she didn’t want to be picked up. She’s an adult not a child and I’m sure having at least some agency over her life is important to her, even though she is elderly and has health issues. Why are people so hung up on the Uber?

Ah. I remember reading that somewhere.

Let’s seperate and disregard the ransom demand for the time being, which has really been a major distraction.

Bizarre to me that it would take that long to report her missing, especially with the blood.

You get the word that your mum hasn’t arrived at church. You check her house and see she is missing and some obvious signs that something is very wrong.

It would not take an hour to contact the authorities unless you are covering something up or preparing for the performance of your life.

The random demand may be an unrelated opportunist, or a distraction.

This may be a very simple case, but so much noise…
It didn’t take an hour to report NG missing. It was around 10 minutes. Where are you guys getting this data?

So much going on but I remember it being stated he was talked to by LE

What an embarrassment today has been, and proof they have NOTHING.

Too busy being distracted by the ransom demand, just as intended…

I find it quite fascinating to watch this character at Nancy's door trying to work out how to obscure a camera AFTER it's already captured their image. I guess now it's clear why the initial kidnapping took so long, it's because they're a bumbling idiot. How they managed avoid capture thus far is a mystery.

Not bizarre at all.

Yes, around 11:10am NG church buddies contacted Tucson daughter who lived 10 mins from NG house and waited for like an hour to report NG missing.
The official time line from the sherriff says it was closer to about 4-7 minutes. The link to the latest press conference should be in the media thread

I believe it’s because they had nothing to do with her disappearance at all. It’s basically a theatre performance…

Give Carlos and his entire family their cellphones back. Police need to focus on NG activities the night of 1/3126. Carlos probably delivered packages to NG or something but he did not cause her disappearance and potential death
Remember the parcel that we could see in one of the initial photos released of Nancy's front door, I wonder if he delivered that parcel?
Seems silly to think LE would link him if he could clearly be identified through his delivery schedule, but honestly nothing would surprise me now.

It means her phone was not in Bluetooth range from her. We don't know if she left the phone or the phone left her. But I don't believe it can be disconnected remotely, I could be wrong though

Carlos has solid alibi from night of 1/30/26 to morning of 2/2/26. What alibi does NG Tucson familiy and friends have? Carlos is a hard working family man who probably takes any job he can get M-F to support his family. On weekends he is with MIL and family away from Tucson. The answer, imo and based on what's out in media, is to seriously check out NG intimate family and friends in Tucson starting with 1/31/26. At least Uber driver has concrete proof of picking up and droppin off NG evening of 1/31/26 4 miles form NG home. What proof do the ones who were with NG night of 1/31/26 have that NG was brought home safely? Church buddies have alibis NG not with them for early morning church online.

I read a theory that LE strategy might have been to let the perp(s) think they were focused on TC and fam to get them to relax and possibly make some mistakes.

A few points of note (without me injecting my conclusions)

Crypto ransoms take a high degree of skill to pull off. POI would need to understand how to cold store BTC. Not on a hot wallet like Ledger. True cold storage takes sophistication and years of planning (storing keys and sleepy wallets with NO prior transactions). After the ransom is paid, POI would then need to use a crypto mixer like Monero or similar to breakdown the BTC, send it to hundreds of wallets, wash the hashes in thousands of transactions and then recollect the BTC once its been washed. After all that, they’d need a laundering scheme to convert the cleaned crypto into fiat. This person(s) would NOT send notes to the media. They understand anonymity and would avoid hot contact (I.e internet contact)

If you’re confused, you’re not the culprit. That gives a sense for the kind of person or persons skilled enough to pull off a crypto ransom. And that says nothing of the skill to kidnap someone. Those are two very different skill sets that rarely occur in one person.
I would just say this. It doesn’t take a lot of skill to ask for ransom via crypto. It take a lot of skill to not get caught.

Not suggesting the ransom note is/isn’t legitimate, but you could be dealing with someone who simply doesn’t understand crypto and ways it can be tracked. “Dude, we’ll just ask for it in crypto, they’ll never find us”

Nothing at all bizarre about this imho.
SIL and Annie were preparing a lovely dinner to honor Nancy’s birthday and anyone who cooks knows this can take all hands on deck with food prep.

I’ve heard it said before, but what does it mean that the app was “disconnected from her phone”? That she moved out of range of the phone/app? The app only works if near her?
Correct, apparently the data sync with the pacemaker happens once daily (usually overnight). But the Bluetooth connection will remain as long as the device is in range (a few metres) and the LE should have the connectivity history from the phone data.

Carlos could have been a delivery guy for parcels and even doordash, but he is not a guy to abduct and harm an elderly woman
