I just dont understand why people make fun of the clothes he wore. Is there Kidnapper Couture? He selected common, nondescript garments that can be purchased in various locations perhaps to avoid being detected. What does a sophisticated criminal wear? JMO
I mean…. he (she/they) continues to elude local LE and the FBI, so.

Not sure i’d be calling this person unsophisticated.

I would recommend you forward any information that you think is important to the authorities IE: FBI.
I agree. Just how many people should get smeared to satisfy the whims of people playing internet detective? This is not ok, imo.

Perhaps martial arts? Just a thought I had.
Maybe the mask could make someone think of Ninjas, but I'm not familiar with any martial arts that wear camo. OTOH, I have noticed that members of militia *love* masks, and fatiques, and all the military-ish gear.

New: Savannah Guthrie visited NBC “Today” studio this morning to visit colleagues.
In statement, NBC says: “While she plans to return to the show on air, she remains focused right now supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home.”

Video here with reaction from co-hosts. 😭

The perp feels like the kind of person who's reading our posts and gloating about how smart he/she is and enjoying having that power. Kind of like the arsonist watching the fire or a perp who appears to be unrelated to the crime gives MSM interviews, even though he's the guilty one.

But all of this is purely an assumption on my part. You certainly don't have to agree with me. :)

JMO
You got all that from a few seconds of doorbell cam video?

I have thought this on other cases—esp on the Brian Kohberger threads before they got him! IMO that one seemed made-for-true-crime-TV from the start.
But this one I am clueless what the perp is like. Is it someone who is excited by the idea of getting away with a crime or someone who had a financial reason to take Nancy Guthrie or what????
Maybe, wanted to get away with a crime, or needed NG gone for some reason , not financial.

No, I got this from forming an opinion of his personality and concluding that like, say, Dennis Rader, David Berkowitz, or Theodore Kaczynski, he enjoys feeling superior to law enforcement, probably gloating that he's "so much smarter than them." But as I said, that is my ASSUMPTION. You don't have to agree with me.

Not necessarily. People often wear jewellery on their person even while sleeping, and especially things on a chain like a necklace or bracelet can be broken during a struggle. They're exactly the kind of thing that might be small enough to be overlooked but picked up with ease by a detectorist.

MOO
Absolutely agree. .. my thoughts now however are that if a physical struggle occurred indoors, then the remnants of that struggle would be found indoors.

I’m appreciative of good people who are genuine in their attempts to help, however my heart runs cold for those who operate selfishly- from bogus to ransom notes and everything in between….and my meters are up !

I saw Jenna & Sheinelle on the Today show talking about Savannah. Apparently she came into the studio today to thank everyone there. And they said she’s planning to return to the show when the time is right. These 2 women were so kind talking about her.

There’s historical proof of a perp on this forum . I looked this up after someone mentioned the story weeks back. If not allowed, please delete.

Ok. I am 100% behind the entire Guthrie family. I have always been. I never thought they were POI etc. The world isnt poised to see if and when she comes back to NBC. There's a perp on the loose. At its core this is a family tragedy.

That being said, Why is this news? Why is this publicized? Why let the perp know where SG is? Trying to see if the perp followed her to NY? The perp is a dangerous person. Ask yourself what is to be gained by making SG's visit to NBC a publicity moment? NOT being critical. I am wondering about motivation. If there is any. There's nothing newsworthy in what was revealed. IMO JMO

I haven’t ever thought that, but could be someone involved in the production when SG’s show came out there. I wonder if they had local production help. I don’t see a lot of the show business flair in lantana man that others see, but production folks are behind the scenes.
What I do see is preppy pants. Even if they turn out to be from Walmart too — a preppy style pants. For what it’s worth. JMO
Yes I am not thinking a celebrity or star. Though maybe a wannabe associated in a minor way with the industry. But someone familiar with costumes, make-up, staging/directing a show, timing, props, etc.

I did not realize that others had thought about a show business flair in Lantana Man.

the facial hair under the mask looked painted on, possibly tatooed not like real facial hair at all. mOO

I don’t see it. As a personal trainer I’m attuned to female muscular development—ie women who lift very heavy (not bodybuilders) and lose their curves and feminine look, but MOO. If even muscles couldn’t create that look, I don’t see clothing this side of Hollywood could accomplish that.

Edit: by Hollywood, I’m referring to a lot of money being put toward special effects and costumes. Not condoning the perp in show business theory stated earlier.
Thanks MC. So highly unlikely a regular person could pull off a disguise where a woman could look like a man. Even with layers of clothing she would still look female to a trained eye.

Hollywood might be able to pull it off, but it would require expensive special effects and costumes, not available to the regular person.
