Spookily quiet on this case; I'm guessing there is something big coming soon.
If not then the family is going to have to make some very hard decisions, pay the ransom by Monday and wait for a response. If nothing then they are really in a tough spot as to what is next for them.

One think that does keep bothering me, is that the ransom notes came in so late after the crime.
So I was thinking that she was dying/or dead....so they had to scramble.
See what they could get with no "proof of life", make the demands, but say "no more communication"

And when/if that didn't work the first time, then resort to still getting money
"proof of body"--so they could get Nancy back home for a proper buriel.

But I have also taken into account, that LE is not moving super fast with no Proof of Life, because they are hoping their digging might be able to get the perp.

So I still think the perps are in that "outer circle" of service people, and/or acquaintances etc.. (#3)

However, I still hold the possibility that someone in the inner circle was an initial connection to that outer circle....
IIRC, didn't it come in the day after? or was that the hoax one? Was there 3, with one so far being proven as a hoax? Or am I absolutely confused?

If you guys were in the shoes of SIL, which is an impossible thing to imagine, do you think you would try to clear your name and say something if you were innocent? He probably has the internet it wouldn’t take him long to see himself being mentioned as a suspect all over the place.

I have to imagine after a few days of this I would feel compelled to make an announcement or at least put out a written statement declaring my innocence. JMO
I think the worst thing he could do is somehow make this ongoing situation about him while NG is still missing.

Im going to disagree slightly with his comment. There was an acid attack in Savannah, GA recently against a woman walking her dog. She's still alive and recovering. FBI got involved within about a similar time frame to analyze substance and they even created a holiness for tips. There is no dead person and no crossing of Stateline in that case. FBI can get involved for a variety of reasons and often do.

If the ransom notes were sent via email or such, then it is cybercrime and FBI deals with it.

No. I'd keep quiet because anything I say or do will be skewered in the court of public opinion regardless.

I was shocked too, Maybe if there are so many it doesn’t mean anything,
IMO that's part of the whole scam ecosystem of those things - they advertise these ATMs as a business. You can buy them and place them (for several thousand dollars).

JMO - as a crypto hater I've kept an eye on this

Best to be silent...the harassment would be unbearable if he stuck his neck out.

This would be a tough spot to be in for sure.

i would be very tempted to put out a statement, but knowing how the internet works, I’d also know there’d still be a lot of people doubting me no matter what I say, so maybe I’d decide it’s best to just be quiet - damned if you do, damned if you don’t kind of a situation.

Plus, if I had concrete evidence I didn’t do it, I still maybe wouldn’t put out a statement depending on if the police wanted me to keep it quiet for whatever reason (maybe to make the guilty person think they’re off the hook or something)

Completely agree. I've also been wondering what SG does next if there are no developments. It's rare journalists and news anchor end up becoming the story, I wonder if a return to Today would be too much for her, and possibly she is rethinking her life after this traumatic experience.

Yup
However, here's a thing I posted a few days ago which has bugged me

Why did NG take an uber to dinner that fateful Sat night?
Hunh - who makes an 84 yr old do that?
Even if she wanted to, I wouldn't let my 84 yr old mom to take an uber.
You might just have the one in a thousand weirdo driver be her driver
Just me I guess

And then she's driven home by the daughter and/or SIL
Which kinda proves my point

But did you read all the various answers and possibilities that so many posters stated about the uber?
These comments would have been multiple days ago.
I know it does keep coming up in the thread, but it really was addressed a lot, as soon as it was announced.

Taking a moment to collect my thoughts.

NG is missing. That alone makes this an outlier. A break-in or SA, if there was a murder at all, no need to remove the victim. Unless for fear of DNA. But I don't think the details align with that all.

So why is she missing? Due to age/blood thinners, IMO it's entirely possible that her injury was unplanned, may have resulted from her mobility challenges, in which case, she would have gone missing with no sign of injury.

Why?

To hide DNA in the case of SA. If there was SA, I think LE knows that, based on the appearance of the crime scene.

If no obvious signs of SA, again, why is she missing?

Perpetrator needed her alive.

To aid in relocating her? Too heavy to carry? Force her to walk...

In order to swindle her? Take her to an ATM/Bitcoin and hope she has assets she can convert for you?

It's an anomaly. 84 year old victim. Missing. But likely alive when taken from her home.

It's easy to say that ransomers might be capitalizing on a news story. We know of one already.

But what I can't get past is that, if not as a set up for ransom, why was she removed from her home?

JMO
Don't know how on target my instincts are, but as I've posted up thread, if an argument with family OR worker whom NG was threatening to expose for fraud, harmed her too much to report to authorities, and in a panic had to remove her from the scene ( and create a kidnapping ruse as misdirection.)

Why not? AB stated she had information from a reliable source without naming and is considered reliable here but DJT who is actually talking to the FBI etc regarding this case shouldn't be considered reliable? Can't have it both ways. Take what info we get with a grain of salt if you want but I think both should be considered reliable IMO
IMO its about looking at the credibility of AB and Trump, not just in the context of Nancy's disappearance and nothing to do with their job titles or political leaning.

Many of us do this with reporters, podcasters, etc. That's why there's always comments about 'X gets things wrong all the time' or 'X is just covering the case for attention' or 'X has been spot on in previous cases'.

Considering past behaviour, objectivity and reliability, I think, in all fairness, it is okay to determine one person seems more trustworthy than another when there aren't LE sources to back it up.

Definitely not 2. A professional kidnapper would not think NG was a good target and would not wait 3 days after kidnapping to request a ransom.
Didn't a news outlet get the first ransom demand on Monday? JMO and recollection.

Even if he wants to he's probably advised not to.

Did anyone else see Trump made a comment about the case, saying something will come out "reasonably soon" from the DoJ / FBI. When asked if it is a suspect, he says "could be definitive" and that a lot had taken place in the last few hours. AB covered it in her latest video at around 2.22:

I'm hoping that he has been very occupied in an interrogation room.
I know LE/FBI have been at AG’s house several times and have some questions. They could be interviewing each person there, but at what point would they instead interview them at the police station? Maybe this has been done and we’re not aware of it. FBI was photographed carrying out containers from AG’s house a couple days ago, if SIL/AG are not involved, what was removed? And why?! Inquiring minds want to know.

I agree, I wondered if it was unplanned and the bitcoin was an after thought attempt to cover up. also wondered how they know the blood drops were from that night? If she took an Uber to her daughters who can confirm they weren’t there before?

Yes, and they can be involved if the local LE requests help, especially in what will become a high profile case. Many reasons that the FBI can get involved. JMO
