This investigation is a right mess if they're just now getting around to checking the septic tank.

I found this paragraph in this NYT article interesting.

Experts in hostage negotiation said they could detect resignation in the statement, as if the family feared the elder Ms. Guthrie dead. But Mr. Leising, the retired F.B.I. agent, said the wording of the message was purposefully vague, a sign that investigators were not convinced the ransom note was legitimate.

“The possibility that it’s fraudulent, and these people don’t have Nancy, is still high,” Mr. Leising said.

I am not convinced she was kidnapped still. I still think it could be family related and the kidnapping ransom is a completely separate crime.

While there may be many reasons as mentioned to use a paper map, I'm thinking this is more likely blueprints, for either NG's house or AG's.

Just a thought . . . if TC/SIL is considered a suspect, is it safe for SG and CG to stay in the same house where he is staying? Desperate people do desperate things.

A few people mentioned body language, primarily SG's. Could these thoughts be concerning SG? I know they would drive me nuts and I would have to find another place to stay.

We know church members notified the family about Nancy's absence. Who was supposed to pick up Nancy for church that Sunday morning? Wouldn't the alarm have been sounded at that time?

She didnt attend the Church in person and hadnt in years.

News is showing LE in Nancy's backyard removing ground cover lid of septic/sewer and searching inside.

I sure will be ticked off if that is where she will be found. We all talked about septic system a few days ago, myself included. Someone here on websleuths even suggested when there was a tank brought it that maybe it was being used to drain the septic, but we never got word of what it was used for.

Unless something was brought back to this inbetween the original missing person, and the beginning of the ransom notes. (Probably not as much LE surveilance then)

They haven't said anything about what her Apple watch was monitoring, to my knowledge, so I don't know anything about that. They only mentioned the watch in relation to the pacemaker, not anything else it was doing.

My opinion only.

My Apple Watch measures quite a bit. I get harmful noise alerts (if I’ve been in a loud environment), respiration rates, etc. I get alerts when my heart rate spikes in an unusual manner (when it’s sudden and is obvious I’m not exercising). As an example, I became very upset at a friend’s house, then abruptly walked home. My heart rate was much higher than it should have been for the pace and distance of my walk (which my watch also tracks). My watch gave me an alert the next day. I looked back in my history and was able to pin point it to when I got very upset. So, with LE/the family powering up Nancy’s phone, they would be able to see a spike in Nancy’s heart rate, and when it happened (if she was wearing it at the time of whatever transpired.) You can filter to look at heart rate over hours/days/weeks/months, to detect abnormalities. Attaching photos for example. I actually got a noise notification last night when I was at a bar and UNC beat Duke. (Yay, by the way).

Regarding someone's post about why $6 million ransom. Thats made me think back to JonBent case, when they said the ransom note asked for a very specific amount which was very similar to the bonus check Mr Ramsey had just received. Just think about that for a second, ok? Process it. Have a nice day.

Not following. They want the bitcoin paid by a deadline or they'll kill the lady. Pressure to get paid. Apparently they have not received any ransom payment yet and are upping the ante with a deadline and a threat.

The deadline and the threat were already made in the initial ransom message. The second message was said not to be another ransom note. It likely just stressed 'we mean business'.

If you read into the sibs last video, the second communication probably said something along the lines of "Do you understand we mean business? Do you want your mom back? Isn't she valuable to you enough to pay? What are you waiting on?"

Actually, we just "know" that a call from a church member was alleged to have been reported as having occurred. The only way to actually "know" that such a call occurred is to see such a call as incoming on either AG or TC's cell phone. And LE have not released that information. MOO.
