This door looks like it would be heavy and APITA to unlock.
How do doors like that lock from the inside? Do you need a key or you just flip a bolt?

If she was taken through the front door, how was the door re-locked (maybe it wasn’t? I’ve been following this from the beginning and may have forgotten that tidbit). The sheriff said her keys were still in the house, so who else could have locked the door from the outside?

That has been debunked. Of course I don't have a link, but it's been shown the gap between the family going to check on NG and calling 911 was closer to 5 minutes. JMO

Yes that is exactly the point of my post.

The misinformation seems to have come from the sheriff. JMO.

It is making me question whether the ''call from church" is similar misinformation and if that's why it has now been omitted.

We know the deadline for the ransom money (5pm local time), but do we know what time she'd then be released?

Even if I was a trusting person, and I am not by far, I wouldn't trust them even the slightest bit. To take millions with a chance of never being caught?? But those chances of being caught grow by releasing Nancy. I'm not feeling good about this at all.

I didn't like that they were reduced to begging, in public no less, and now paying a high ransom to MAYBE get their mother back? It would be more than a double slap in the face to pay and get nothing for it. And you KNOW they'd be laughing about it. The thought really frosts my butt.

It's going to be a nailbiter of a day for everyone. I really feel for the family. :(

agree, it was omitted, not removed. And I wonder if that is because authorities have vetted the call and the caller and that caller deserves anonymity in what almost immediately became a national headline bearing case.

Can you imagine if the press knew who made that call? They would be camped out on that individuals doorstep harassing them for info and statements, following them to the grocery store and gas station.

Or the authorities feel the call, has no place on their timeline. They don't do what they do to suit us. MOO if they felt it was relevant it would be there. They do not feel it is important for the public to know who made that call or what time.
This is a bit far fetched but it’s also possible they learned new information while vetting the call that they don’t necessarily want public.

All to say, there are a ton of reasons why the sheriff doesn’t want to focus on that phone call. Assuming it’s because it couldn’t be verified is silly at this stage, IMO.

I'm struck by how... f'd up this whole situation is. Just depressing, evil humiliation for the family.

  • #14,469
no one knows anything new.

Thank you!
Then, I doubt we shall. I hope that the family has an idea, and maybe it will be blamed on some mysterious “cartel” or other unsavory elements operating around.

Is it a common position that Nancy is not with us anymore? It surely feels so.

How far behind? On her property?
I believe Brian Entin mentioned in his video that it was probably a sprinkler head that had ruptured.

I am gradually come to the conclusion there was no call at all. Unless the pastor verified it. JMO.

I'm growing increasingly concerned this is another Kyron Horman gone forever, no closure situation. After she is missing a year or two life insurance policy will payout and Savannah will probably get requests every 6 months to add money to Bitcoin to get a body. Horrible situation. I read a former LE said, "This case will likely rewrite the play book." and by that i think he means the old way of wait, stall, delay dont pay ransom plan didnt work here. They likely killed her at that deadline. Now, that is all based on if in fact it was an actual kidnapping.

  • #14,473
Is this something between Savannah and the person who is sending the ransom notes?
It's citing Fox News, which has been deemed not credible here. Plus the expert calls Savannah "Samantha" 3 times.

Amazing how people who’ve never lived here see cartels behind every shrub, especially when the most high-profile crimes here have been committed by Americans.
Most people are not aware of crime going on around them. My city was controlled by organized crime in the 1950s and 60s (moon shine kingpin lawyer had control of the courts). ~99% of people were totally unaware, me included.

Why on earth would a cartel cause trouble for themselves by coming to America to kidnap a random morning news host's mother?
They wouldn’t. That is the exact opposite of how they behave.

The whole point is being as quiet as possible, so they can make money through drugs, human smuggling, etc.

The last thing they want to do is draw attention to themselves for what amounts to chump change.

And when they do commit abductions here, it’s of their rivals - people who typically won’t go to police.

From what I’ve seen, if they kidnap Americans, it’s across the border, and it’s typically people who have dual citizenship.

Communications occur between them and the family, and they are direct.

Next to American true crime, I follow Mexican cartels very closely.

When I say they are not involved, I’d bet the farm on it.

Can anyone link a legit source says that stated the contact by the church friend was a "call"?

I have only heard "notified" and "contacted" when Nancy's church friend reached out to the family after she was noticably absent from church.

What if after the church service the friend decided to stop by Nancy's to check on her and a family member was already there?

Remember the family was "contacted" at 11:56 a.m. 👀

Cartels can very well be Americans. Hells Angels are home grown.
Sure sure, yet that is not what you and others are implying, is it?

He may just be a shallow thinker who doesn't see the identity of the caller that kicked off the search as important. When asked specifically if that caller had been interviewed he didn't even know. A confused, "I'm sure they were" is not the answer of someone on top of their investigation or dialed in to the importance of seemingly minor (to him) detail.

It's probably wise he has stopped talking altogether.

My opinion only.
