What makes no sense about this part is that paying a ransom via cryptocurrency can happen anytime. It’s not like anyone needs to be waiting around for money drop instructions.

People seem to be thinking Monday at 5 pm some transaction will take place and we’ll see action, but for all any of us know, the money has already been transferred.

I could open my Venmo and send some ransom right now if I wanted to. 😉
Not following. They want the bitcoin paid by a deadline or they'll kill the lady. Pressure to get paid. Apparently they have not received any ransom payment yet and are upping the ante with a deadline and a threat.

GRID SEARCH: Photos obtained by Fox News Digital from Liam Young show investigators carrying what appears to be a topographical map at a staging area near Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona home on Thursday.Authorities were also seen carrying a map into the Pima County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, though it was unclear what the contents were.“It looks like something they were going to use to grid out to keep track of search areas,” Paul Mauro, a retired NYPD inspector, told Fox News Digital. “So my guess is they were still searching then – and may still be.”

That, to me should of been a first thing as well to have been investigated. The outbuildings, inside the home, outside the home and DEF that sewer tank! IMO Awful, now let's see if that finds her, so awfully. IMO

What money? Why do you think NG Is wealthy? Plus, whatever she has would probably have to be divided 3 ways ....among her children. For all you know she has a mortgage or reverse mortgage. The person with money is SG. This is NOT a familial money grab from the mom. This is about NBC, SG, a stalker, the appearance at the OLYMPICS..something along those lines. IMO

Strongly disagree with your perception of Mom. She had a very good job at the University for very many years, and has owned her home since 1975. Universities tend to have excellent investment programs---especially for a person with so many years there.
I would conclude that Mom was in fine shape financially.
Perhaps this is all still about SG....
but just wanted to highlight the most probably picture of Mom.

They won't name a suspect until they are in handcuffs imo
And they want everyone to keep talking and not lawyer up, so they don't want anyone to be declared a suspect, because that is when they lawyer up. LE also needs a body. Once this eventually hits a jury, no body is harder to prove a crime. If you have a body, usually you can find cause of death, then you might find a murder weapon. Lots to gain from getting a body. Anyone remember Kyron Horman case? Never found; stepmother did it IMO. LE never could bring charges because they really needed more physical evidence. (I lived just a few miles from where he disappeared and followed the case very, very, very closely. I worked out at the gym that they went to. For years the gym still had a fence with Kyron's picture, balloons, and flowers for him....)

I found this paragraph in this NYT article interesting.

Experts in hostage negotiation said they could detect resignation in the statement, as if the family feared the elder Ms. Guthrie dead. But Mr. Leising, the retired F.B.I. agent, said the wording of the message was purposefully vague, a sign that investigators were not convinced the ransom note was legitimate.

“The possibility that it’s fraudulent, and these people don’t have Nancy, is still high,” Mr. Leising said.

So, the family is gong to pay, although investigators are not convinced the ransom is legitimate? Wow. Then what if it's not? Back to zero in the investigation.

I wonder if the kidnapper did not think that it would become this huge of a story, and now, it has become a far more unmanageable situation than expected.
Anything is possible here.

I am not convinced she was kidnapped still. I still think it could be family related and the kidnapping ransom is a completely separate crime.

I am wondering if there is a certain skill set needed for the bit coin and multiple IP addresses. Example of cartel or blue collar type individual/s.
Great question. Can someone with experience/knowledge please provide some insight? Thank you

While there may be many reasons as mentioned to use a paper map, I'm thinking this is more likely blueprints, for either NG's house or AG's.
Or possibly mine locations

Just a thought . . . if TC/SIL is considered a suspect, is it safe for SG and CG to stay in the same house where he is staying? Desperate people do desperate things.

A few people mentioned body language, primarily SG's. Could these thoughts be concerning SG? I know they would drive me nuts and I would have to find another place to stay.

We know church members notified the family about Nancy's absence. Who was supposed to pick up Nancy for church that Sunday morning? Wouldn't the alarm have been sounded at that time?
She didnt attend the Church in person and hadnt in years.

News is showing LE in Nancy's backyard removing ground cover lid of septic/sewer and searching inside.
I sure will be ticked off if that is where she will be found. We all talked about septic system a few days ago, myself included. Someone here on websleuths even suggested when there was a tank brought it that maybe it was being used to drain the septic, but we never got word of what it was used for.

oh my heavens........ I am just sitting here, shaking my head about this. Doing this NOW??

What possible explanation....................????

Unless something was brought back to this inbetween the original missing person, and the beginning of the ransom notes. (Probably not as much LE surveilance then)
