Click the link posted above, under the heading “Gloves found at Guthrie residence, sheriff’s department says”

How in the world were these gloves only found today? This makes zero sense to me. i’m assuming they were found when that white tent went up at NG’s front door. How long was that tent up? My impression was that it wasn’t long. Is there any possibilty they were found around the threshold of her door? In one of the photos of the blood drops close to the door, you can see gravel on the tiles. Like the people had stepped on the gravel or maybe lost their footing in that area? Perhaps a gloves was somehow initially missed in that area? This story is getting more and more odd.
This could easily of been planted there as a diversion. Honestly, you would have to be pretty dumb to throw a glove outside your car that you used in a crime. Or a troll could’ve done it, just to be stupid. After all, it was found after the camera footage was released.

You've got to be kidding me 🤦‍♀️
Why are they BLASTING every single bit of info they get. Good grief! School will be letting out soon too. Watch out kids!

I think that was probably a mistake since I can't find anything from other sources on this. JMO
Yesterday they reported a specific intersection.

Seems incredibly unlikely IMO and I don’t see the point in hiring people to abscond with your mother or MIL. It complicates things for any sort of monetary gain. JMO.
Fair enough.

Still seems like an odd thing for some random perp to commit; with no clear and sure-fire way of reaping the monetary reward ?
If it was a planned random kidnapper, one would assume they'd have contacted the family only and said do not go public with this-- hand us the $$ and she'll be released in an hour or so.
Some scenario like that ?
Jmo.

Yeah. Not much seems normal in this case unfortunately.

The white tent was erected hastily and stayed up for about an hour as investigators gathered evidence in secret. The only discernible difference when the tent came down was the missing bracket that once held a Nest camera a masked suspect was caught tampering with, according to footage released earlier this week.

It's been established the notes are real.
Well I believe they are real notes sent to local news stations and TMZ. We don't know if they truly are from the kidnapper.

Highlights one of the internal conflicts I have with this case. If you’d told me a few weeks ago that I’d be listening to Ashleigh Banfield, Harvey Levin and – especially – Megyn Kelly for hours (while doing other things, thankfully), I’d have laughed. And yet…
Same. It's can't listen to some of these people on other topics or my head explodes. But when they are talking about true crime, victims, timelines, bringing on intelligent guests, and asking good questions, I think coverage has actually been very good.

Is it possible LE entered the house today while the tent was up and found these gloves? Otherwise I’m surprised media didn’t see this happen.

According to their report, the e-mail came from a person who claims to know the identity of Nancy's kidnapper. The e-mail was received by TMZ just after 9:00 a.m. Arizona time.

The person who sent the e-mail, per TMZ, claimed that they are "not being taken seriously," and made ominous statements.

"TMZ is cooperating with law enforcement by not disclosing specifics," read a portion of the article.

Per the report, the person explained why he wants a bitcoin, saying that they will "need money to lay low after identifying the kidnapper for fear of retaliation," and worries he might be "incriminated like that Carlos guy," referring to a person of interest who was detained and subsequently released.

The e-mail, per TMZ, ends with the person saying this is their final attempt to help.

According to the report, this e-mail came just one day after an e-mail asked for 1 bitcoin in return for the kidnapper's name
If this person truely knows who the kidnapper is (which I doubt) and isn't telling LE, then they absolutely will be incriminated. Most likely an accessory after the fact.

Oh! Ok, I didn’t see that. Dang gloves galore!!
I have very little faith that this case was handled properly from the get go. The didn’t even set up a perimeter or canvas the area until a week later it seems. If reporters can go to the door, that’s a problem!

I prefer to be treated as an adult and allowed to make up my own mind about resources and the content they contain.
To be fair, it's the manager of the site that determines as such, not so much us, IIRC

MOO
Speculation and theory:
After researching and reading a few theories and watching this most recent video, I do not think this was an intentional kidnapping or murder. I think the person was sent/hired to scare her. Then things went terribly wrong and then staging of the scene happened after the fact in the 40 minutes or before the pace maker disconnected. Now we are left to put the pieces together which is why none of what we see makes sense. Ransom notes are just opportunists trying to cash in and not related at all. I thought this from the beginning but after watching the video, I feel more strongly about this. I don’t think camera was removed right after this video of the perp but possibly after the situation went very wrong but not totally sure on that one.

My reasoning for this:
1. He’s way too nonchalant on camera for a kidnapping and really appears to inexperienced (weapon placement, foliage to cover the camera, body language)
2. He seems to want to be seen on the camera. Maybe not for police and the public but for Nancy to see him given that he does not know how this “scare” ends up.
3. He’s in the house for a long time based on the timeline given by police.
4. Blood on porch appears as if it was dripped (staged)
5. All of his “get up” appears to be newly purchased with the intention of looking scary. Weapon was placed where it was awkwardly so it was clearly visible. Not holstered on the hip which is more common.

Again, just my thoughts and MOO but things just do not add up at all.

Hi there! I have seen it suggested several times that the blood droplets were staged. I was just wondering if you had any ideas how they would go about staging blood droplets with Nancy's DNA in them. Especially if they only meant to scare her. I'm also having a hard time settling on ideas for who would want to scare her.

Even if I was just trying to scare an 84 year old lady, it seems like a very bad idea to make her bleed. And if something went so wrong that she died, I definitely wouldn't take her dead body with me. Someone is going to realize she's missing. No getting around that. Have an accident, get pulled over and it's hello prison.

I don't think the man in the TMZ video is the same as the man in Nancy's camera video because even though Nancy's camera video is in black and white, you can tell the backpack is a lighter color than the coat. And in TMZ's video, it's the opposite. The backpack is black and the coat is a lighter color.
Clearly he's not the same man. But if there were more than 1 person involved, maybe he is just 1 of the guys who had a part in it.

The notes contained unreleased information so either they are real or there is a leak somewhere and somebody got that info and used it.

I think it is most likely a plea for that person to come forward - if they are innocent then it would be in their best interest.

The glove(s) were just found yesterday 1.5 miles from NG home. They were to be immediately sent to either Quantico or Texas for dna testing.

Edited to correct, it doesnt say when the gloves were found in the home, the article was posted today.

NBC (posted today) says these were found in the home:

Posted by NBC news today at 2:15pm EST

Gloves found at Guthrie's house are being sent out for testing, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said in a statement this afternoon.
The department said "several items of evidence" were found at the residence, but provided no details beyond the gloves.
The news comes after multiple reports that a nylon glove was found at the home.

As for the gloves being tested for DNA, we don't know if any foreign DNA was present at NG's house, and they don't yet have a suspect that we know of. All three things have to be connected to be useful. LE put up and took down a tent at NG's front door. I would think that might be to photograph to make a more exact determination of the height of the masked man, and to home in on details. Is anyone else thinking someone broke in the back and let the masked man in? I am starting to think there may have been three - one driving, one who broke in and handled NG, and the masked man, who took down the camera.
I’ve thought that all along! My impression from the video released is that the suspect at the front door first intention was to give a knock at the metal gate (alerting another suspect already inside), but the Nest camera distracted him…he expected the camera to be off. IMO
