Good day, have been reading quietly.
One thing I find odd is that the flyer states "under suspicious circumstances". That usually means that LE knows at least a portion of the circumstance but are not releasing it. It's possible that maybe he had a meeting with someone and that is when things went bad, or maybe afterwards,
Another thing, many people are separated but not yet divorced. So it's possible that they have gone their separate ways for a while. Hence he lives somewhere else.
I do hope he is found. I wonder if when LE went to his home, was the home locked? anything looked disturbed? It appears that LE is under the impression that something happened.

I am very disturbed that there is nothing about searches.
There is so much that can go wrong quickly this time of the year. You can get killed checking your mailbox by a careless driver as one of my neighbors did in the 90s. Hunting season usually extends into February for small game. The intermittent weather always effects the plumbing. And the short warm spells bring out the copperheads and cottonmouths.
I no longer live within driving distance or I would "saddle up". A couple of people with dogs could do a nonintrusive but good search. It is a bit late for human trackers but their experience and heightened visual skills would be an asset.
I am going to say again: There needs to be a thorough search of the property!
Bolded by me.
Agreed.
That's where I would start.
Imo.

Agreed about the searches. Because of that I believe LE knows what happened and now are just trying to connect the dots.

Rbm.
Thanks for pointing this out.
Do not know how I missed it !

Also agreed re. the state of his house and if anything was missing or removed ?
For instance, did he have security cams and were they still there, etc. ?
Omo.

However, his classmates and school staff became concerned when he failed to show up for class the following day, prompting his wife, Shana Cloud, to contact Firkins, who lives in Texas.

Firkins described her brother as someone deeply committed to his studies and his family. "He was completely enamored with medicine and excited about his career path," she said, adding that his disappearance was "out of character" for him. "He would not walk away from his life and his school and his daughter," she continued.

Crews search home of missing Green Beret after body found in Fayetteville pond

Law enforcement were using a warrant to search Bonnell's home and the surrounding wooded area, the sheriff's office confirmed.

Crews were also searching a pond in the 4000 block of Gainey Road, located 5 miles away from Bonnell's home. The sheriff's office confirmed a body was found there a day earlier and sent to the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification. Officials would not confirm the body belonged to Bonnell.

The address above is indeed only a few mins driving from his home

Nearly month after Green Beret reported missing, search warrant executed in Cumberland Co.

The investigation into a missing former Green Beret in North Carolina has now become a multiagency investigation.

On Wednesday, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) confirmed the execution of a search warrant in the area of Butler Nursery Road and Gainey Road in Fayetteville.

Investigators on Wednesday were searching the home of a retired Green Beret and Methodist University student missing since Jan. 27.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office confirmed a search warrant was served on Clint Bonnell's home at 3265 Butler Nursery Road.

Crime scene tape blocked a gated gravel road that leads into the property Wednesday morning and law enforcement vehicles, including from both the Cumberland County and Harnett County sheriff's offices, were seen parked in a field nearby.

Foul play?

Certainly treating it as such.

I wonder what they know that we don't.

Why would LE wait a month to get a search warrant?

He’d been reported missing. One would think that a search at his home might be one of the first things.

It does seem that LE knows much more than we know.

Hey folks,

Please remember WS basics .. that sleuthing on family or others not officially named as POIs is not allowed. You can sleuth to your heart's content behind the scenes and with fellow members in private convo, but can't post what you find unless/until LE officially name someone.

Thanks !!
