We have heard from profiler Dr Maurice Godwin that this case seems personal. We have all been discussing that it IS personal. So, I'm going with another angle.

As a medic Kelli would probably do screenings of soldiers who go on sick call or are about to be deployed overseas. Soldiers often try to get a medical profile which states that are non-deployable to a combat area. As an E4 which is what a specialist is, she would do or help do the inital examination to determine if a soldier deserved a noncombat medical profile. She may even have had the job of typing up the doctor's evaluation reports.

If you were a soldier who didn't want to go back into combat, would you try to bribe someone to stay out of combat? However, what if she couldn't be bribed? Then she would have placed herself in danger. What if a soldier, like a PFC showed up at her home to try to convince her to alter a report, and she refused. She was spooked by something that night, and didn't want to get out of the car, could this have been why?

There may not have been any criminal intent, but the situation got out of hand. Is this angle a good one to concider? JMHO

I will be bumping this post throughout the day.

Just my opinion, if the alleged drop off point is where NH seems to have indicated - I do not believe one could see a car in front of any specific apt. Looks like she would have had to walk along a road with woods on left and a wooden fence most of the way on right - before she got to the actual complex. Course that is based on the point NH/media seems to have indicated (just after you turn into the road).

Well if she was spooked and didnt want to get out of the car could be she saw a familiar car as
it turned into the apt complex just before them! then she says
leave me out here..Ill walk...

I really think someone came there looking for her...
Nick H is a perfect person to blame. He was handed to us on a silver platter.
I think if NH did it he would not have gone back to the bar that evening.

Could NH have done it sureeeeee and maybe he did but i think there are other irons in this fire.

All JMO

For what it's worth... I took a Google Maps "Street View" on Kings Creek Drive (KCD)beginning at Ramsey Street. Things I noted:
cannot see anything about the apts just after turning onto KCD;
a wooden fence along right side of road (somebody needs to check behind that fence);
just where the brick wall starts, there is a house/out building behind the wooden fence;
proceeding a bit further, there is a house on the left on the woods side with what looks like a path to KCD;
there is another house on the woods (left side) across from about where the wooden fence on the right ends;
it seems that this is the first point one could see cars parked at any apts (actually just one building at that point);
the first turn in, Water Trail Dr, goes to right and horseshoes back into KCD;
KCD continues on ahead and loops many buildings;
There is a little road, Hidden Pond Dr. that spurs off of KCD in the back.

Upon closer look, this is actually a rather large and spread-out apt complex.

The Today Show is on NBC starting at 7am. I have not seen it. I watched the husband & brother over the phone interview on Jane's Show last night. The husband was pointing out that he was staying in FL with his parents, never went to Froggy's Bar (alone or with KB) and had never met NH. He had not heard from her since Friday afternoon- until the military contacted him on Monday. At that time, he gave the military official and apartment owner permission to enter the apartment. When asked what he thought happened to KB, he did not really go off on NH....

He was a bit defensive. Not sure if means anything. He did not say they were separated, however he had gone all wkd without talking, texting,communicating with KB. In fact, he said something about not knowing who she had been hanging out for the last couple weeks. Thus, implying he had been in FL or a matter of time - not just a long wkd. This tells me they are separated. For me - he is a POI until the police say he is officially ruled out. We have all seen cases where the parents provide alibi for guilty family members. So, need more than just the parents backing up his story. He is not telling the full story at this point, when he points a bunch of stuff out - except the suspected truth about his relationship with KB.

bbm: just commenting on this... there is no sleuthing of Kelli's husband unless and until he is named as a POI by LE (of course I am not referring to any personal opinions just info on sleuthing)

I just watched part of Mike's interview, there are some things, the way he words them, that concern me. When people say "to be honest" or "I'm trying to be honest" it generally means they are hiding something.

I agree. I didn't see Today show, but watched the interview with him on JVM last eve and he was asked where he was that eve he said, "I was actually in Kissimmee Florida"
I don't like the use of the word 'actually' in that sentence. Why not just say, I was in Kissimmee"
IMO

God speed on the search today VOH

Like in most cases like this, LE tries to complete an investigation before charging anyone. (Covering ALL bases) I honestly believe LE currently has enough evidence, but are making sure everything is in-line, as this is now a "high profile" case. I personally think that NH is their prime suspect. He is already in custody, so they are in no rush at this time to file charges, as he is not a flight risk. I also think that the evidence that LE may have gotten from the cell phone records, his car, his shanty behind Froggy's etc... will be enough to either charge NH or not. NH does not portray himself to be that cunning. It is my belief that LE is just waiting for him to crack.... NH stated that he noticed her "texting alot" that evening. NH probably made the last 2 texts trying to cover his tracks... Most criminals are dumb.... Again, I believe LE has enough evidence, they are just waiting... VOH, what's your deep down feeling about NH and what has been the last statement from him??

just some points from this interview:

He got the call at 1130 that she had not shown up to work

Gave permission for them to check the apartment

They checked and she was not there and told Mike they were going to file a MPR

Mike packed his bags right away and got into the truck he just bought (most likely nothing but didn't the earlier article say he was buying a car? a chevy cavlr? Or IS that a truck? I don't know much about cars other than I have a jeep and it starts when I turn the key)

Mike's theory: his point of view if she was dropped off in front of the apartment she would be there.. he does not think that he took her home.

Matt (brother): his theory: he agrees with Mike. No one thinks she was dropped off there and thinks NH said it to "qualify his answer" doesn't want to speculate on what he thinks may have happened

Things I heard that was significant in the Today show report: MB said there were no problems in marriage and they were not planning a divorce or anything like that; he does not believe anything NH says; he thinks if KB was dropped off that she would have made it home.

BBM: IMO. I am not buying that there were no problems in their marriage. I have stated my reasons for this in prior posts.
SO, he thinks if she was dropped off she would have made it home. Why would he think that? It wouldn't even cross his mind that perhaps the serial rapist could have gotten to her? Or some other bad people who may have driven by at the time of night, or someone from the apartment complex? It crossed my mind. Why not his?
IMO, he is still on my radar as a possible POI.
But no sleuthing him, all just my opinion on statements he has made.

bar owners evicted

An eviction notice was filed today in civil District Court against the bar's owners, listed on official documents as Mandy Murphy and Michael Waguespack, whose addresses are given as Froggy Bottoms.

The complaint says the owners owe a total of $2,412 for back rent, late fees and damages.

The complaint was filed by Realty World Integrity First at 2935 Breezewood Ave. in Fayetteville.

Rescue team spokeswoman Chris Sayre said her team of hounds will search a grid of about 3 to 6 miles.

"Somebody's got to search it all," Sayre said. "We're missing that one thing that could break this case wide open.

Previous searches conducted at the bar and Bordeaux's home turned up nothing, investigators have said.

Matt Henson, Bordeaux's brother, said he hopes a large turnout will help uncover new leads in the nearly 2-week old investigation.
