Hello guys, you are quite an insightful group. I've been lurking for a few days and am quickly picking up the majority of the details you all have put together. I am a local soldier so I can answer some questions about the area if need be. I drove by the bar and apartment area today to get a feel for the area. My sister used to live in Meadowbrook when she was stationed at Bragg.
So I have a question for you all: Is anyone running with an option for Kelli to be alive?

Glad to have you join the discussion! In answering your question, Kelly being alive is a possibility, but I believe if she is alive that more than one person is involved in her disappearance and I assume it would be some sort of sex slavery ordeal. I think this scenario is unlikely but possible.

In all honesty I am about 99% leaning towards Kelli being dead and Nick being the perp. But that is just what I gather from everything I know so far. There is a lot of stuff LE is keeping from the public so the tables could always turn. What are your thoughts on what happened to Kelli?

Hope is always a good thing to have and I don't want to dampen anyone's hopes. However, I'm a realist, and it does not appear that KB left the area and certainly not voluntarily.

Unless she's been locked somewhere, with enough food & water to last 2+ weeks, I don't think she's alive. If she's being held hostage, then why hasn't the perp asked for anything or made any contact? The whole point of a hostage is to get something in exchange for the person(s) you're holding.

LE is looking for a body. In lieu of that they're trying to find anything (her phone, her clothing, shoes...anything).

These cases with missing adults usually don't end up with a live victim. Yes, I know Elizabeth Smart was alive, but she was kidnapped by a religious nutcase who wanted to collect a bunch of young virgin mormon wives. And yes there are people still holding onto believing that little Kyron Horman, 2 years later, is being secretly held/raised by someone his stepmother gave him to, instead of murdered.

Realistically, I think the outcome looks grim for Kelli. A kidnapping or hostage scenario doesn't make much sense when the perp she was last seen with is in jail, and no one has contacted anyone for money or anything.

Sadly I agree she is no longer with us.

ago and the sick kidnapper who fathered 2 children with her came to

I often wonder if maybe, just maybe, she is being held hostage. I havent wanted to say anything about that feeling. But with the way LE is keeping this case close to the vest, I guess anything is possible. JMO. And has me wondering. :moo:

Someone could be holding her somewhere against her will. Elizabeth Smart survived an abduction and is alive and well today. I noticed she spoke on behalf of missing persons the other day to encourage keeping hope alive. It's a long shot but possible. What do you think?

Based on everything her family has said about Kelli, I'm certain she didn't leave of her own free will.

I also think of the fact that this was a marine, a woman, but still went
thru some hard training. Don't know for sure.
So if she was being held, as you say, I would think the skills she learned

Let's look at adults who are taken. Kelli was 23 years old. I think it's important to compare apples to apples if one is going to compare one case to another.

Which adult women over the age of, say, 18 have gone missing and they were (merely) kidnapped and not outright murdered, and they didn't run away on their own? I can't think of any right now.

Kelli left with NH and her phone stopped pinging and does not show she made it to her apartment complex. LE and her family have no evidence she ever made it home. Those facts can not be discarded, and any abduction scenario still has to account for the evidence that LE does have.

LE has never mentioned abduction as a possibility. You'd think if there was any remote chance someone was holding Kelli, police would say something to indicate that scenario. Instead what are they doing? Searching the woods, the waterways...for a body.

VOH said he saw a group preparing to search on Saturday and someone else said they heard they searched on Saturday but nothing has been reported. If they took canoes down the river they're not looking for a cell phone.

Many of the comments I've read had led me to conclude NH was the perp and LE was building a case. However, i may have changed my mind somewhat after talking to my sister and heard something interesting but before I post I need to know what the rules are regarding information not released to the public. I've seen voh maintain neutrality. I'm not part of the investigation so I don't know where this info fits or if it's safe for public consumption.

She is from Orlando, 20 something, was away on vacation with her
boyfriend for a week. And that following Monday morning she
left for work and was never seen again.
They had some real bad camera shots of someone walking by the gate at
the same time I believe, and each step he took, the camera turned and
you never saw his face.
Her parents are on NG once in awhile just to keep their daughter in the
news. Very sad. They did find her car in another parking area. It may
well have been 3 years plus when this happened. No clues at all to
follow up on.
