what if report(s) say something like this:

JMO - 300 - another dispute - KS combative; KS and TS verbally loud; KS still upset from earlier "arrests" - told all involved to go to their apartments - any more calls, someone's going to jail....

JMO - next call 415 - officer didn't want to deal with this all again - drove by a couple times - lights out - walked around - didn't hear anything - got back in car and didn't complete report cause "nothing" to report...

all JMO...MOO - no facts to back up

I've always thought the last call was a drive by, if it happened at all.

It would be nice if we could get something from some source. Another single, white, female went missing late August and there still seems to be more press and info then KS and the other girls family is fighting to keep details private!!
http://www.news4jax.com/news/Sighti...gated/-/475880/16491292/-/twrt85/-/index.html
This case is about as bizarre as KS's, yet they don't seem to be hesitant with keeping the public informed! What is going on and why hasn't anything been released?

I have decided to check this thread less often. It is so frustrating because there is nothing new.

I wonder if it's possible that KS had some friends who had wealthy parents and otherwise nothing better to do, decided to take off. Maybe not premeditatedly, but is it possible she walked down the road to a friends house, vented about the nights events, and together decided to "disappear" for a while? If the friend had financial means, and friends or family in another state, why not? Palmyra is not a big town. I don't find it unthinkable that if the opportunity knocked, in the heat of the moment she could have without much thought took off. The million dollar question of course is, why hasn't she come back or contacted family to let them know she's ok.

The only walking out she may have done is at 4am, intending to come right back, if that, in my opinion.

I really think that's what happened. She stepped out and something awful happened. On the deck, in the yard, in the alley..I'm thinking deck, maybe.

PalmyraDad and I cannot convey how absolutely black it is up under those branches.

I imagine it's lovely during the day - like living in a treehouse. At night, it would be a great setting for a horror movie - monsters in the tree, under the stairs. Awful.

It's the darkest place between her door and the corner of Windsor and the alley.

Could she have stepped out of the lower side door, PD? Seems a little counterintuitive, but I've never lived there.

Btw, I was wondering if the google street views we're looking at were from when you lived there. I hope not. Makes me feel retroactively voyeuristic. =\ Sorry about that.

There hasn't been as much as a whisper about any tension between Kortne & her mother. Unless she's physically unable to contact her mother, she'd contact her mother, IMO.

And we know she had reached out to her brother that very day. I think she was fully immersed within her family and their lives.

I don't think that happened at all. IMO, Kortne is no longer with us. LE needs to be finding the perpetrator.

I have this idea, probably totally wrong, that LE knows what happened, and it involves someone in authority, and they are working on it behind the scenes and will present a complete case one of these days, including being led to Kortne's body. It is just a theory, brought upon by too much silence from LE, and I am hugely pro-LE, so not one to suspect them of bad behavior as a rule. But I have never seen anything quite like this wall of silence coming from them, when they were so much a part of her final known hours.

can you share?

thanks, JO

I don't have any special insight. Given what we know about Kortne & her mother, I think it's *extremely* unlikely - nigh unto impossible - that Kortne would subject her mother to the kind of pain she's enduring.

Sure, she could be in a coma in a cave or hanging with a Mexican drug cartel. Nothing's absolutely impossible.

I truly, sincerely, absolutely believe that Kortne was rendered unable to communicate with her mother in the pre-dawn hours of July 29th.

I admit I have trouble understanding what makes folks think that and I can be pretty obstinate.

I can't see Kortne wandering off into a new life as even a remote possibility.

I can be wrong. I really feel like I'm not wrong this time.

Her situation is so much like Katelyn's (minus the police activity); I never have believed Katelyn just decided to walk off in the middle of the night, leaving her dog behind, to start a new life either, but even LE has not ruled it out after 13 months.

It's difficult at this point to *not* think of some sort of LE involvement. The fact that they were so involved with Kortne makes the lack of communication from LE even more suspicious, IMO.

So frickin WEIRD.

JMO - Lebanon county is as crooked as the day is long. Let's not forget about the unsolved murder of Peggy Reber.

Why can't they release the 911 calls? How far into the Casey/Caylee Anthony case did they release the calls? I remember hearing the grandmothers call to report Caylee missing pretty early on, no? I think I saw something about submitting a request for these? And why had Nancy Grace not jumped on this? Honestly, I don't know if it would help, but at least she has the resources to gain access and get people talking.

The Google Earth aerial view is from 3/31/2005 and the Street View is from 10/2008. We were out of there in 12/2001. So, you're safe. : )

The side door is her main entry door but at 4ish I'd think it would be more likely and convenient to step out on the deck, by the sliding door. If something bad happened to her, it is in that area I think it happened. The way the steps turn plus the near pitch-black darkness make it a place that is creepy, even during the day.

As one of the locals posted the other day, PA is one of the states that does not do this. But media could have requested the logs from the LE visits by now and not sure why they haven't, unless it just takes a really long time.

I don't know how much I am allowed to say here, but I am familiar with Kortne's family and I highly doubt she would disappear without any contact with her family.

Despite Kortne's parent's being divorced, they're a relatively close knit family.

I just don't understand the silence from LE. MOO, usually when they're not releasing information it's either because...1) They don't have any information OR 2)They're trying to cover something up.

This is just so very strange to me.

Funny you should say that. I had a conversation this past weekend with some people that share your opinion of Lebanon County.
