Its definately a possibility .. It's also (IMO) a possibility that CP may have left as well along with her. They may have left after her stomping to make the neighbors mad and gone to someone elses house to party. It's only his word that says he passed out there until 7:30 am.

Yeah I am kind of thinking they, or she left ...and went elsewhere- very spur of the moment- let's blow this popsicle stand NOW.... I wonder too if anyone else was there but just not outside where the initial confrontation took place. Lke was there another vehicle around, or did someone come by and get them.

I wonder- did LE check the phone record of CP or any of those that were involved that evening.

I wonder if LE checked out the neighbor thoroughly....I mean she had an altercation with them/him/her and then she winds up missing. Makes me go hmmmmmmmmm.....

Poor Kortne

It was reported that when they dropped MR off they left with "others" in the car. I have neither seen it reported or read it rumored who these "others" were, if the "others" were dropped off before CP and KS arrived at their apt or if the "others" accompanied them back to KS's apt.

I know it was reported that KS and CP got into an altercation with the neighbors but nothing more was ever reported on the "others". There is a possibility that CP, KS and the others just left to go to the "others" place knowing they couldn't continue to party at KS's place OR CP and KS left to go to the "others" place to get away from the drama. Maybe they were planning on leaving KS's to begin with, only stopping by the apt to pick up some "stuff", with the "others" waiting in the car. Maybe this is why KS was stomping about to make the neighbors mad cuz she was leaving anyhow and "making a statement" on her way out.

In any event, it leads to question .. why did KS leave all her ciggs, cell and shoes at the apt if she left to go party elsewhere. One possibility is she didn't and these items were taken back to her apt after .. whatever may have happened to her ... possibly OD and panic? If this is the case .. more than 1 person may potentially know where she is and what has happened to her which gives a better chance of this case being solved.

Possibilities I can come up with surrounding Kortne's disappearance: (please note I am not accusing anyone, just trying to list possibilities)
1) someone she argued with earlier that night lured her out after her friends were asleep & disappeared her
2) friend(s) who spent the night disappeared her
3) Kortne stomped out of her apt in a rage & a stranger disappeared her
4) Kortne stormed out of her apt in a rage & became disoriented or lost somehow & died but hasn't been found yet
5) Kortne stormed out of her apt during a break down (while friends were asleep, so a relatively quiet breakdown) & took her own life but hasn't been found yet
6) Kortne did open the door when LE returned & then something happened to her (friends may have been asleep or she didn't want LE in her apt, so she opened the door & stood on the other side of it with nothing in her possession- thus why she didn't take any belongings)
7) friend(s) & Kortne did not immeidately return to apt after fighting with downstairs neighbor (or returned then quickly left after putting up some belongings) & something happened to Kortne, accidentally or not (reason why no one answered police's second response to her home)
8) someone else communicated w/ Kortne (and we haven't heard about it) or came to Kortne's house once friend(s) were asleep & lured Kortne out, then she met with a nefarious fate. If her friend(s) were asleep, she may have stepped outside without anything to talk to them.
9) Kortne kept partying in her apt and accidentally died from alcohol overdose or something & those with her freaked out & hid her body (I find this unlikely)
10) Kortne ran away & started a new life. (I find this one to be the most unlikely).

With the expception of almost completely ruling out #10 & really doubting #9, I am not sure which one of these possibilites is the most likely. I'm also not so sure about #5, but Kortne was having a really rough night, her BF was in jail, & alcohol is a depressant.

I cannot think of any other possibilites- if you all can, please add them.

Which possibility seems most likely to everyone who has been following this case?

And as Meems posted above, in most of these scenarios her personal items could have been deposited back at her home after whatever happened to her happened.

In my travels to relatives over the holidays, I passed the company owned by KS father as I have many times, however noticed that the missing poster that was out by the driveway is no longer there. Speaks to some of the theories that LE and her family have definitive info regarding her fate that is not being released. Could just have blown away and not been replaced though. Not sure what to think.

The neighbor didn't answer his door because the police did not knock the second time around. Perhaps they just did a drive by. I've never been convinced anyone got out and knocked that second police visit. MOO! Just such a sad, weird case!

Agreed! I think that is partly why LE remains so tight lipped on this case .. They are in CYA mode!

because it was quiet/dark once the officer got there and the officer never knocked?

Bar in grantville. And benefit was outside party. Sad....so sad. Years back when his barn was set on fire and goat head left he spoke out to newspaper....now he seems so quiet. I just don't understand why family, friends, Co workers and the boyfriend are silent. I Would be demanding answers from LE and all involved.

Does anyone know if ALONG with the stomping on the floor, if the neighbors heard her voice, talking or yelling, or was it just stomping, how many stomps, or was it more like a thud?......think she went out side to cool off, that's why she didn't take anything with her, she could have worn different shoes, I'm sure she had more than one pair of shoes and since she didn't live with her parents they might not know every pair she owns. Did CP have to be somewhere at 7:30 the next morning, not sure about most people but if I had been drinking and out till 4:00 then went to bed I wouldn't be awake at 7:30 unless someone woke me up to go somewhere...as far as LE, did they do a drive by, did they actually knock on her door, did they actually knock on the neighbors door? The public probably will never know, but I do think they may have been tired of going there for disturbances and might have had a casual approach to the last call, not that worried, they had already been there.

Was that last noise, the presumed stomping on the floor, just that, or actually the sounds of persons exiting the apt?
there were 2 ways out , correct? An interior stair that went to the front, or side? And then the back deck area?

So difficult to discuss a case with such little information being provided. I still can't get past it being someone she encountered that evening. I would assume they pinged everyone's phones possible. Not sure what else could be done short of something just falling in LE's lap.
