I seem to recall a couple of news reports where JVS claimed that he thought about putting her into a suitcase and taking her out of the hotel that way- that he even attempted it but she didn't fit. Seems more likely to me that he attempted to bunch her up to see if she could be disposed of.

I've read of multitudes of beating deaths, and they don't end up in a fetal position unless they die slowly afterwards- the body does not automatically contract to fetal position from being beaten or dying. Curling up is a conscious brain process/reaction/defense, not an automatic body response. I can't see it hapening in an unconscious person. They go limp, not fetal.

Also, I thought I'd read that he said he had moved her? Wouldn't he have had to have moved her somewhat to have mopped up blood as he claimed?

Not necessarily. She could have been unconscious or near unconsciousness when he stomped or hit her on her head, cracking her skull, brusing her face, hands, body, breaking one of her ankles. Still her body would've drawn up into itself as it's only means of protection---the fetal position. This would also explain why no one heard her scream. I think as soon as Joran elbowed her in the nose, he began violently beating her, and her only hope was that she survive the attack which we know she didn't. The rest is just IMHO.

Thanks Panthera. All I could think was, bless her heart. :(
I know and as gruesome as these photos may be to look at, I am actually glad they have been released. Stephany was very real, and this is about her death. A little too much lately has been all about "poor Joran" but these are photos of the beautiful young woman who brutally lost her life in his hotel room. MOO

I couldn't agree more. She was a beautiful vibrant young lady who was viciously taken from her loved ones.

Me too Panthera. We don't know what he defines and perceives as confrontation. It could have been something as simple as she sighed while he was talking, or she rolled her eyes or made some other gesture that was particular to her personality and he took it as an affront. All JMHO.
Exactly ~ or it could be much worse such as her resisting his advances. MOO

Looking at these pictures has literally made me feel sick.

Picture #9, can anybody identify what that red thin cord like thingie is? (one part of it touches the shoe).

Maybe a "bungie cord" or one of those "eye glass holder" cords. Just guessing here.

Respectfully snipped: Woe.be.gone

Will you please answer Cottages questions in the post above? It's not fair to keep pressing on with the 'Joran was framed theory' before answering some simple questions -

Not Unreals, but I could give you a reason for everything questioned by Cottages and others in the "conspiracy theory", but I think it is moot. Just as I feel the whole discussion on this should now be. Ones bringing the issue forward should be willing to give explanations or answer questions by those of us who were willing to discuss this side of a theory says it all to me. Not being snarky, but I think some people are just very analytically minded...which I admire, but spit it out if you want to go there. Saying I don't want to tell what I think ends the discussion. KWIM? JMO

Hey guys...I came across something that I thought was interesting. It's from Ainta's (VDS) Dutch TV Interview. This link is from insession but I'm off to find some other link. I only wanted to quick post this bc it shows she's actually human, & if true, she's probably feeling pretty empty right about now.

Mods: If you need to remove the link, please read it first. It's very interesting. I'm trying to find a Dutch TV link that has the actual translated interview in full.

Thank you to koawally for the indepth recap.

Patty G, the link that you were asking for is what I just supplied in this post. I'm just now coming to this thread, so I didn;t see that another poster copied the whole thing already. At least we have the link now, though. I'm trying to find the Dutch TV link now...

Is there a link to this information.

Alan Lipman, Criminal Psychiatrist

sting operation involving Garcia
MBrooks: missed his calling - screenwriter

I hope and pray he's held responsible for all of his crimes, and his sentences are concurrent with one another...

With all of this lying or twists to the many stories, he should have gone into law and then politics. Perfect.

Just on Dutch TV: an exclusive interview with Anita van der Sloot. They talked about the recent developments and ofcourse about Natalee Holloway.

The interview started with Anita who talked about the first days of Natalees disappearance. Anita was in Holland when she learned there was a girl missing on Aruba and that her son Joran was the last person seen with her. She boarded the plane back to Aruba with mixed feelings. Back on the island Joran told her the story about how he dropped Natalee of at the hotel. Joran told her that Natalee probably would show up soon. When Anita saw the first posters of Natalee she thought that she had run away.

Thank you so much for the excellent translation on this!~

The post at insessions was possibly taken from here, post 356 this thread.
Or, possibly it is by the same person. Or, who knows?
Anyhow, it is a translation of an interview Anita did with a Dutch TV station and was played a few hours ago.

Sure this has been linked, but I know how easy it is for links to get lost. Anywhooo I don't believe these pictures to be an re-enactment of the crime scene, but the original scene.

As posted on CBS News.

The Peruvia report said he was not a psychopath. I thought that strange. One thing JC read from the report was that Joran liked to do things that elicited excitement and he was always looking for the next thing to do that.

I had a friend that was just like that. He would do unbelievable things for excitement. Always trying to get in trouble or cause horrendous problems. He was a burgular, liar, and a bully always picking fights.

He was diagnosed as being bi-polar and manic depressive. This is one thing I have not heard that Joran could possibly have. My friend was on medication but went of off it all the time. He thought he could self medicate using pot and crack.

He also hallucinated. Dead now. Found in a field with both his hands cut off.

I'm not sure why he will explain later, my guess was he needed to think of more lies to tell.

My guess is that Joran thinks if people have an inkling of hope that he holds the key to the truth, people will not killl him. He's dangled that carrot for five years regarding NH. :banghead: IMO his bluff has run its course.

No, I meant concurrent. I hope he's tried in all countries or areas in parallel with one another (at the same time or close to the same time), therefore he would serve consecutive sentences. In other words, he can be tried "concurrent" in the US for the wire fraud, in Aruba for Natalee's murder, & in Peru for Steph's murder (or anything else that pops up that he's involved in) all at the same time. I think this would be better in getting the most out of his sentencing, instead of making Natalee's family wait for him to finish his sentence in Peru, then be shipped back to Aruba to be tried there & serve his sentence, then after that come to the US for the wire fraud charges...kwim? If the trials aren't concurrent, the victims' families may have to wait and it may not be as "raw" as it is now, meaning the notoriety would die down...which is what I don't want to happen. I want him to have the strictest longest sentence he could possibly get.

Caller: have investigated his younger years? K - 12?

Psychologist - was modeling his father's arrogance (NH case)
MBrooks - his father was powerful atty up for judgeship; maybe lived vicariously through son
Criminal Psychiatrist - father a narcissistic man, and we see that w/his son
