We're waiting on the judge's order to see if he holds to the August date.

AT would like to have it start on the second Tuesday of Never.

AT is out of time. She has met her match with this new judge. Dateline mess but we will see.

As of today, the trial is still set to begin on August 11, but the defense motion for continuance has not yet been ruled on. Whether or not it will begin as currently scheduled is anyone's guess. I hope that we will learn something at the hearing on Wednesday, the 18th.

I can't remember what the hearing on Wednesday was originally supposed to cover - is it the "alternate suspect?" If so, AT better have some form of evidence; otherwise, August 11 it is. JMO

There will be a closed portion and an open portion of the hearing that is scheduled for Jume 18. The closed portion is to address the alternate perpetrator evidence that AT supposedly has submitted as of the May 23 deadline.

The open part of the hearing is to address the defense motion to continue. Hopefully Judge Hippler will hand down a ruling at that time.

There is a hearing on the Defense Motion for Continuance on Wednesday the 18th. Barring some miraculous rabbit being pulled out of AT's hat, I believe the trial schedule will remain on track.

Judge Hammer Hippler previously said that AT's motion of an alternate suspect was weak and I don't see it having gotten any stronger.

Random observation, and may have been said before. IMO the gag order has worked in neither the defence or the prosecution’s favour. I might even go so far to say that it plays a large part in why the trial could be delayed.

So much of this speculation, questioning and obsession over the case would have been put to bed in the first few months of the investigation. I doubt the DateLine & Prime docs would’ve gained such attention if certain details had been disclosed from the start. Media like this is only funded and produced if there is a market for it. And there is, in this case especially - everyone wants to know the who, what, where, when and why. If, at least, SOME of this info was made public, I believe so much of the attention on this case would’ve been reduced, certainly until the trial, at least. There’s a reason the Kohberger trial is the most watched topic on CourtTV by far, according to Vinny Politan.

I feel super bad for this woman, she's being dragged through the mud. Whilst I get that we're all nosey and wanna know the answers to the gazillion questions we have, some things I honestly think should be hush hush until trial - this woman's identity being one of them

I could be missing something but we will find out at trial. Plus, people do lie to the police all the time but maybe she is trying to tell it as she remembers. People do remember different versions of thiings. Pretty notorious for that. Like 4 witnesses can have different accounts.

They did a very good job of hiding her identity till now.
I am just happy to hear that a DoorDash driver actually exists. I don't know why she would lie to the police about that; its not like they couldn't confirm it in 2.5 seconds. It isn't like they don't know who the DD driver is. we just didn't know, but the police did.
The rest I am just going to ignore because you know what's probably coming next, questioning her credibility, which is unfortunate in this case.
