Finally….. I thought two stars may align at the airfield - but alas!!! No sight of the chopper!

Think someone forgot to turn the tracker off, just disappeared.

They are still keeping a very respectful distance away from the microwave machine. I think they have a new car and working on Sunday's, so they're certainly throwing everything they have at finding Dezi.
(But they will not find him waiting for a plane at the airport and why they don't need to look at things in the little shed anymore when before it was a daily ritual is beyond me.)
Its not microwave anything. Its an optical PTZ camera and I bet if you were there it wouldnt be lit up at night visably because its the IR illumination from the camera and the airport camera can see it because its a CMOS camera (every wonder why its black and white at night??).

Those antennas are omni directional antennas, that doesnt work with microwave transmission (feel free to Google it), microwave is high speed comms point to point with a focused small dish. I woudnt take the DM as gospel or even close

Just so you have an idea what im talking about, this is my place in the middle of the night, COMPLETELY dark with cameras illuminating with IR light:

Thankyou for explaining, much appreciated by me ( as I have no clue  )

So it stores images & than those are retrieved & looked at???

Being the RF antennas on it I would assume they are being transmitted back to the TOC or if it has 4/5G LTE.

I would _assume_ they have placed various ones strategically so they can link them to get around the terrain being you need LOS (line of sight). ie bounce around the mountain

I reckon it's like a TRIK box for comms

Who knows but it's not a magical microwave camera that will make you sterile haha

Yes, thank you so much for giving us this example of the lights at night jezzab. We were thinking that it would have been like a beacon out there, but now realise there would be no light to the naked eye. Thanks so much!

I just hope this all ends soon and the people at Porepunka can get back to their lives. I live 30 mins down the road and I have been to the pub there a few times, it's a great place. I feel for them having very little income on a bumper season and tourism because our area relies on it. If they aren't forth coming, I'm sure you realize why. Sure it's opened up now but people will be scared to come up here, the damage is done

Just to be clear, are you saying it's not a long-range system that combines a high-resolution telescopic camera with a microwave booster?
Do you think police would need to attend each camera every day to see what images they take?

Someone up line suggested specialist ADF troops should be called in, and I agree.

And I’m sure they have Smoke Grenades that they use in war time to ‘draw out the enemy’ .
Vicpol are completely invested and will leave no stone unturned. Since this tragedy unfolded the police operation has been a strong and proactive one.

Every resource at their disposal will be utilised and they will have no issue requesting assistance from any organisation that can help bring Freeman to justice IMO.

Vicpol did request assistance from the ADF and specialist Army units have helped in the search.

There are no microwave antennas on there. Please Google it if you must. Microwave is so tightly packed RF wise it requires a dish to concentrate it, those antennas are Omni directional.

There appears to be a PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) optical camera on there, being hi resolution, I would assume so but without the specs who would know?

Why they are going there I don't know. Maybe it doesn't run on unicorn farts and they actually have to put diesel or petrol in it every day for the generator inside it..

Last week Daily Mail received photos of Ms Freeman's car with every window smashed and tyres slashed, sparking speculation it was a strategy to provoke the fugitive out of hiding.

So, the photos we saw in this older article were of Mali's Honda CR-V, and the tyres had also been slashed.

I wonder what happened to Dezi's Subaru Forester

In the images, he is dressed in a loin cloth, smeared in tribal face paint, his long hair and deep tan giving him the appearance of a Native American warrior.

But in reality,
Freeman’s roots are far closer to home, his mother was Australian-born, while his father came from the UK.“

Dezi the cosplayer, or bad actor living in his own small fantasy world instead of reality.

Daily Mail has this description of the mobile camera unit…..

“Police are also relying on high-tech surveillance.

One of their main tools is a long-range system that combines a high-resolution telescopic camera with a microwave booster.

Several of these units have been set up across the region, using powerful zoom lenses to capture detailed images in the search..

One has been mounted on a hilltop overlooking Freeman’s Porepunkah farm, the site of the deadly ambush before he vanished into the bush. “

Similarly I hope it all ends soon jezzab, and for a whole host of reasons including:

The people of Porepunka have had a totally reprehensible (and unfair) situation bestowed upon them as a result of the selfish & disrespectful behaviour of one individual. They must quickly be allowed to move on & recover from this.

I can’t imagine the torment being experienced by those young & impressionable children of DF. Every minute of every hour in this pattern does them more damage, imo.

Cost to date for this search is being suggested as well exceeding $ 20 Million!
This is miraculously being made available while the Police Services across the country are screaming for resources; while our hospitals are grossly understaffed; our mental health / child support services depleted; our people starving; our people sleeping in cars due to no available / affordable housing ….. etc etc.

No one has the right to hold a person to ransom, let alone a country !

Like you, I hope this ends soon.

🙏 to the folk of Porepunka.

JMO.

Do you have inside knowledge Lemony ?

I’m not doubting the intent of Vicpol. . their colleagues either lost their lives, were injured or had to witness the occurrence / aftermath of that day. I’m sure they would walk over broken glass in the pursuit of justice for them.

My comments were based on the fact that sometimes ‘heart’ can get in the way of ‘head’, and it can be detrimental.

Just my opinion that it’s now time to change things up a bit.
