HHJP gave a pretty extensive answer as to why he found these were four separate charges and sentences. Why do the DT even bother to argue it? :banghead:

My guess would be for the delay in this and (maybe) other hearings.

could it have anything to do with her personal culpability supporting financial liability?

ok that sounded more clever in my head - if she lied to the cops - she's a heck of a lot more likely to have to pay for all the wasted time and resources.

Money honeys - it's all (and always has been) about the benjamins (and who get a share of it...)

..so, the 5th District won't be looking at it at all until judgeP rules on LDB's motion for costs...

-----------which also tells us that the postponing of th hearing from tomorrow until next friday, has nothing to do with the "lying appeal" ( since absolutely nothing will be different there next week..)

..the delay must then be b/c LDB filed her 'supplemental witness list' (melich and allen) today------and cheney & lisabeth are crying that they need more time now to depose them, blah di blah...( boo frickin' hoo...)

..yesterday 8-23-2011 the appeals court relinquished jurisdiction BACK to the Circuit Court and judgeP---for 30 days---until the assessment for costs of prosecution/investigation is resolved.

..the attorney general is to file a certified copy of the Circuit Court Order with the Appeals Court, "upon rendition" ...

..so, the 5th District won't be looking at it at all until judgeP rules on LDB's motion for costs...

..when LDB first brought this 'motion for $$$'s' up at the sentencing hearing---judgeP asked if 30 days would be sufficient for him to set a hearing date on it...?

LDB was fine with that--------mr. mason?

cheney (P/P): "well, she can't just give me something on day 29!!! we'll need TIME, to do our own discovery, verify invoices....(grump, grump, grump.)

LDB: "i don't believe i would DO that to mr. mason, as soon as i HAVE the documentation i'll give it TO him, so he can check the validity---of the sworn affidavits of the sheriff's office.. ( steam pouring from her ears!!! )

we're dealing with cheney here-------if he CAN cause a delay ( or just be a jerk in general----he'll do it---with pride too.)

( he practically wanted the TRIAL screeeched to a halt---so he could depose their new 'find' vascoe thompson...)

..since a chunk of OCSO's submitted $$$'s were for melich and allen, they probably have their P.I. madly trying to find hours attributed to melich, when he was on vacation or some such nonsense...

In other Anthony news:

***WESH-Channel 2 reported that lead detectives Yuri Melich and John Allen have been added to the witness list for a hearing on investigative costs in the Casey Anthony case. That hearing, which had been set for Thursday, has been delayed to Sept. 2. Four state agencies are seeking more than $500,000 in restitution from Anthony “for leading them on a nationwide, wild-goose chase” to find Caylee, WESH’s Bob Kealing reported.



BBM: So today's Hearing has been moved to September 2.

I hope the State can recover every single penny of the $500,000 in costs that CFCA -- as well as her Defense Team -- cost the State of Florida with their freaking shenanigans ! LE could have been doing more productive work than running around because of the LYING by CFCA ...

Jose WILL continue to play his usual "games" regarding the costs of the search owed to the State ... what a HUGE WASTE to appeal the "Lying to LE" CONVICTIONS when even JB said in Closing Statement that the felon was a LIAR ... Jose just does NOT want CFCA to have to pay any $$$$$ that they MIGHT get on a "DEAL" -- and I hope they NEVER EVER get a "DEAL" ...

The Florida Bar Association really needs to do something about him NOW ... they need to quit "dilly dallying around" and put Jose in his place ... Jose did not really get his client off of a murder rap -- he got "lucky" because he got an "ignorant" jury who had did NOT have enough intelligence to see through his never-ending BS ! MOO ...

This BS for CFCA has gone on WAY TOO LONG and it is a JOKE ...

deanna82437 - Thanks for this - I think it goes in the probation thread which seems to still be closed - so it could go in the where is FCA thread because it looks like the DT is appealing the Appeal Court decision...at least to me...
