What I just can’t wrap my head around is how on earth could LE not have found any evidence of foul play? I’m hoping that they did and that they are just holding their cards close to their chest. I can’t imagine that he would be THAT good at covering up a crime scene.
- how can there not be traces of blood in the house, the woods, his truck?
I only live 2 hours from Suzanne’s house and I am a bored senior. I decided to go to San Antonio this morning and eat my favorite breakfast Taco at Blanco cafe. After sunrise I went to visit the woods by her home. Lots of walkers, joggers, bike riders, and dog walkers on the streets adjacent the woods. A very peaceful 2 hours for me in the woods. Only saw 1 dog Walker and one young man sitting and probably smoking a little weed. Very unkept overgrown area. 20 ft from the street you disappear from street or house view. There are a few single track dirt paths throughout the woods. There is a ravine for runoff water at every Olmos Park street. These ravines empty into a large creek that flows about a half mile to empty into the San Antonio River. All the ravines are dry due to a 30+ day drought. The creek is 90% dry with a few shallow pools of stagnate water. I also bird watch and was very disappointed on that as well as evidence of Suzanne. I concentrated on a triangular swath starting about 60 yards from their home and going about 300 yards in. I was working on the theory that BS walked her into the woods, hurt her near the entrance, she screamed and ran deeper into the forest. This would be very hard going in the dark. Lots of vines and uneven terrain to stumble and fall on. I was thinking if she got very deep into the woods before Brad caught her, that he would not be able to carry her back out. I find it hard to believe that after he hurt her again in the woods that she willingly walked back to the house. I find it hard to believe he killed her in the home because the five year old was home and possibly the 15 yo son as well. I have not found an article of his whereabouts that Sunday night and Monday morning. I also find it difficult to believe that Brad carried a deceased Suzanne from the woods back to his truck without being seen on a camera from one the neighbors homes. I found nothing suspicious. Not even much evidence that the area had been well searched. A few orange paint sprays. I speculate they were to identify areas all ready searched. They seemed random to me.
My speculation on Brad’s couple hour departure was not to dispose of Suzanne, but to dispose of evidence like a knife or bloody clothing. So much for my sleuthing and speculations.
Did learn a few things however. It would have been impossible to retrieve a body from those woods in daylight or even hour before daylight due to all the foot traffic. Another observation, Monday mornings appear to be trash pick up day for their home.
At least I got a great taco and listened to some great music on a scenic drive. Now for my afternoon nap.

With the facts as we know them, this is a clear cut case of second degree murder. Any attempt to mitigate that by claiming mental illness or whatever, is doomed to failure. His efforts to remove Suzanne from the scene and conceal her body, shows that he knew what he was doing, and knew what he was doing was wrong. That takes things to a whole other level.

Any outside possibility of a manslaughter charge went out the window the second he did that. Even now he refuses to cooperate and give up her body.
I sure hope you are right.

Tacos and afternoon siesta well-earned!

Thanks. I saw this on X and they mention that the prayer vigil was held on the north side of San Antonio, I guess that is how they describe the areas there. She lived on the north side, correct?

Yes, she lived on the north side, to be more specific, the near north side. “North side” covers a lot of ground in San Antonio, from just north of downtown all the way up north past 1604, and more or less between I 10 on the west and 35 on the east. There are numerous little incorporated cities within metro San Antonio, each with their own police force, and their own city government. Olmos Park is among the wealthiest such little cities. It is just a few miles north of downtown, and inside Loop 410. Olmos Park, Alamo Heights, and Terrell Hills are most of what makes up the Alamo Heights Independent School District.

I live a little bit north of Olmos Park, on the other side of the tracks both literally and figuratively.

Editing to add that the prayer vigil was held at the Oblate Theological Seminary, which is a beautiful park-like campus just a few miles north and a little bit west of Olmos Park but also inside Loop 410.

Thank you! I've been to Houston and Dallas, never San Antonio.

If they have a mapped out area of the land fill, per the video showing the yellow tape, then they have a good idea of what area that debris came from. Now I am wondering if they have seen BS on CCTV. I empathize with the searchers having to search a landfill in 97 degree heat, ugh!

Hopefully this Simpson will remain in jsil

hoping this Simpson will remain in jail then prison for a long time. Once again, feel so sorry for the children no matter what ages….

Good. Her cell phone last pinged from the Panchitos parking lot and there is a brown dumpster 1 block over.

:(
Using HRD dogs on that dumpster, I'd surmise ?

If this turns out to be what it's looking like --- how revolting to treat a human being, a spouse & a mother --- as if she was garbage to the tossed away.

I hope she’s found soon unfortunately, I see no positive outcome here.

My thoughts go out to her children and rest of her family.

Regarding the neighbour not calling the police I do sympathise with them as I believe this was probably a very toxic relationship so domestic incidents at the house were probably a regular occurrence MOO

EXCLUSIVE FOOTAGE- Watch investigators search a landfill in southeast Bexar County co

OCT 14, 2024
Texas Rangers, the Department of Public Safety and Olmos Park police could be seen assisting in the efforts, which ended around 4 p.m. A DPS spokesperson said they expected to return to the location Tuesday, but couldn't specify what brought them to the landfill.

Authorities were also continuing to look in Kendall County on Monday.

Just arrived at a landfill in Southeast Bexar County where the search continues for Suzanne Simpson. According to a statement from the Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas he says,

“We feel confident there is a good chance of recovering Suzanne at that location.”

That’s a really strong statement at this stage. It seems they know for a fact she was put into a dumpster. I wonder if there’s video or something.

LIVE: Olmos Park Police say there is 'good chance of recovering Suzanne' at landfill They state that "evidence, statements and solid police investigation has led us there"

Hmmm.

Earlier, it was said Brad was not cooperating.
I'm still hopeful he didn't get a plea deal.
He deserves life w/o parole, but at the very least locked away long enough to keep him from harming the kids who witnessed the abuse; esp. the younger ones.
Even if he didn't physically hurt their kids, witnessing abuse has to be traumatic.

Her wealthy realtor husband Brad Simpson, 53, has been arrested and held over the disappearance. Brad is not cooperating with police and is being held on a $2 million bond.
The affidavit also revealed the couple's youngest child told staff at school 'that her mom and dad were ''fighting''.'

She told staff that
'her dad had hit her mom in the face and possibly pushed her into a wall... that her mom had a bruise on her elbow and that her dad had taken her mom's cell phone away.'
