There are ropes all the way along so they “just” have to pull themselves through.

My meditation mantra would be: breathe, rope, breathe, rope, breathe, rope... until I made it out.

So easy for me to say this. I have meditated for years and honestly I cannot confirm whether I could hold out with doing this under these circumstances.

It is possible though for the boys to do this. I have such faith in those young minds. I know we all do.

Praying for strength for the boys to believe with all of their might that they can do this.

I believe they can do this. After all, they are the "Wild Boars".

The boys diving is looking more dangerous. Some reports saying it could take them 8-9 hours because of the strong current.

In my heart, I know that wherever Saman Kunan is, he is continuing to help "bring the kids home". Faith is immovable. Spirit is even stronger.

The area like this where boys have to crawl underwater alone
approximately 200 feet long.

Plus the four sump areas which are appx. 30 ft. across which will require diving equipment.

While we wait for the live presser news I have been thinking about that unique pie in sky solution proposed by someone elsewhere where they had the idea of a flexible strong tube that could be inserted into the hole and make sure both ends are above water line. Then the boys could just crawl through the tubing.

That unique idea really sounds feasible. Still has some risks but all solutions have their risks. That idea is nice because it keeps the boys dry and they would just have to crawl or be pulled through the tube by a rope.

Surely we have flexible tubing strong enough and long enough that could be used for something like that.

So if authorities dont want to risk other solutions then that one may be one they could consider. I think it was submitted to them already so they should know about the idea.

To fix that, Mr Musk proposed that workers instead feed a small tube into the cave network. It could then be filled with air, opening it up into the passageways that the children would need to go through and thereby allowing them simply to walk on their way back.

In effect, the tube would displace the water that is currently in the way of the boys' exit. Instead, the tube filled with air would take up the hole, allowing for a dry passageway through.

"Maybe worth trying: insert a 1m diameter nylon tube (or shorter set of tubes for most difficult sections) through cave network & inflate with air like a bouncy castle," he wrote on Twitter. "Should create an air tunnel underwater against cave roof & auto-conform to odd shapes like the 70cm hole."

Experts have further described how hazardous the journey out of the cave will be for the boys.

Prof Peter Styles, Professor of Applied and Environmental Geophysics, Keele University, said:

The difficulty is that these are not single caves but a series of linked caverns. These are caused by water laced with CO2, which forms a weak acid and dissolves the limestone. The cave system (which may run many many miles) tends to be liked by narrow connections that can easily flood which is clearly what has happened here as the storms occur.

The fact that a diver has died indicates how hazardous the journey through these is. It may be worth trying to see whether there is access into the cave where they are from the surface or whether it is feasible to make one if there isn’t a natural access.

If it is already partly connected it would be feasible but tricky. To drill a shaft big enough to get folks through in virgin rock is difficult but not impossible, as the other alternative may be to wait for the waters to fall which, as they have said, may be months!”

Many of the young people trapped in the cave in Thailand are likely to develop new psychological symptoms in the short-term. They may become fearful, clingy, or jumpy; they may be fear for their safety; they may become very moody or easily upset (or, in contrast, they may become detached or numb); or they may develop headache and stomach-ache related to the intense distress.

Most of these young people will recover from these symptoms in a few weeks at most. However, we can expect that a sizeable proportion of the young people involved (10-20%) will develop more enduring mental health problems related to the trauma, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, or conduct problems. These young people will benefit from psychological assessment and treatment.
