Losing hope they will get out alive.

I don’t even really think the boys wrote those. Or if they did they were told to say something nice and positive and one thing they want to do.

Guys, I’m so scared. I don’t trust this media or any of the people in charge. Thank you all for being so strong and positive.

I feel like they did. You can see the different personalities in each note. I think the parents would be able to tell if the letter came from their own child. JMO. I'm scared too. :(

I think it is their words but I have similar fears-- that the letters are being used as positive propaganda now when things are really dire. I hope I am wrong. I hope all in the cave are safe and well. But I can't shake this feeling. :(

I guess you are right. But I find them sort of disconcerting... also I wish twitter would stop praising Elon Musk. I will sing his praises when and if he shows up.

Okay, thinking happy thoughts. Sending positive vibes. Thai officials should be meeting with some hopefully key volunteers today. Maybe there haven't been any live updates for hours because they are working on something that might actually get these kids out alive. They are strategizing as you read this. Pray Pray Pray they find something that works in the best interest of these kids!

We've all fallen in love with these boys...

We want to read about when they graduate; what careers they have chosen; when they get married; and have kids...

I truly do understand the insurmountable perils.
That this rescue logistically won't succeed.
But my heart does not compute -- I just cannot accept that these boys are going to die in there; either while waiting, or while attempting to get out.

It simply cannot end that way.

Nope. Those UK divers wouldn't be willing to do this unless they believed the mission could be successful. Hang tough! Let's get those boys out!

This is similar to what Elon Musk is proposing: <modsnip: image removed due to no link>

This is my prediction----I think there may be 4 or 5 or even more boys, that are in satisfactory health, have some swimming skills, and are mentally prepared to try to dive out. I think they may go ahead and try to bring these stronger, motivated boys out before the rains hit hard.

Meanwhile, there are a probably a few that are in poor health, that may be incapable of the rigorous journey right now. So they will need to keep the pressure on their other experts: the drillers, pumpers, engineers, etc,- to come up with alternate methods to transport the remaining boys.

I think this is how it is shaping up right now. All my prayers and hopes and wishes for a miracle, here and now.
This is what I think is going on too. I think we might be kept in the dark until some of the boys are out. Then we will be advised what will go on with the others.

Agree. It’s 10am there. Hopefully an update soon.

Yes, similar in concept to a park waterslide fun ride; at least the downhill part.
Sorry this has 'scary' in the title; but pretty sure the author means 'fun', like in scary fun:

They can't dive with the boys unless the pumps are turned off. The water is described as "cold coffee". If a diver became trapped on the pump's suction tube, he might become lethally injured or run out of oxygen.
The water rises 4 inches every ten minutes the pumps are off (24 inches/hour). If the island the boys are on can become submerged, all the boys would have to enter the water within minutes of each other as the water rises so quickly when the pumps are turned off.

I can't read about the boys at this point. Its as if those are pre arranged obituaries being released to the media. I find them upsetting and the timing just dreadful.

I hope they inspired people to donate to UNICEF or the Christian agency (name has not been specified yet) who took in several of these boys.

If we take anything away from this experience, good or bad outcome, its this......teach your children to swim. Enrol them in swimming lessons at a very early age and keep them swimming throughout their lives. One never knows when an emergency is going to crop up that includes the need to be able to swim.

They may save themselves or they may be able to save someone else, if they have the ability to swim. I would go a step further and have them trained as lifeguards, they have some first aid certification as well.

Please, teach your kids/grandkids to swim!!

So little current news. I wish we could at least view the camp live as we did last night.

'Limited time' for daring rescue mission to free Thailand's trapped...
I was just going to ask if there were any live feed videos up. I feel like they might actually be getting things done. They don't have time to give updates because time is almost out. At least I HOPE they're getting things done. I don't want to think of the alternative as to why they're being quiet.

Some good ideas are rolling down the pike -- but most seem a bit late in the game. Hoping the flexible tubing can work!
Reminds me of in the movie, E.T. -- the quarantine "hazmat" tube leading into the house. :)
Seems like it can work, if it can be deployed soon.
