As already posted, now we have a 10-12 hour break for the rescuers .

The boys were underwater for 1 Km.

Bet everyone is exhausted. Hope the boys are going to be ok.

I wonder if the next few stages of the rescue will happen faster, as the boys are stronger?? Sure hope so, as weather is against them.

lol.... I was just about to reply to ask, if this is without a doubt, for sure....
then I saw who posted it -- so I guess it is!!!
But still -- Really Really Really????
OMG! Really???!!!
That can't be true or they would all be able to get out without the need for the 10 hour reboot. They can walk out from chamber 3, no? Or stretcher out? No need for divers or oxygen???

I will be very upset if charges are filed against him. He made an error in judgement taking the boys into the cave, not a criminal act.
He more than likely saved these boys lives in that cave! I doubt they would be alive had it not been for him. He is a hero in my mind!

I may be going against the flow, but he is responsible, in my opinion, for the death of one of the people that try to save them.

This country may be different than here in the United States, but for something dangerous like that, the parents would have to sign a release form, just as I understand they had to have the parent sign to bring them out.

For us who follow trials, this may be a mitigating Factor, but is not to be considered for his charges. I know it sounds crass and harsh, but I would expect charges. Especially for something so high-profile as this.

ugh it looks like it is only four out from presser

in a way i am surprised they did not have like a second team all charged up and loaded ready to go back in instantly??

10 hours -- rain is coming

They have eighteen divers working in pairs, one to each of our Wild Boars. But four trips out means eight divers now need rest, refueling, etc. They may be staggering the rescue sets a bit; there may be considerations in that cave that require a bit of a rest between lots of 3 or 4 boys. One obstacle may be with the oxygen tanks. Some divers may be working on making sure they are kept filled, and going back through an checking the placement of the guide rope. We just don't know. But it won't be much longer. However, it is imperative that the divers be well-rested and are kept on a steady path. One tiny mistake in a cave dive can be fatal, even for the best of the best.

Before we all get excited, has it been confirmed that the remaining 7 are in Chamber 3?

They just showed a clip on one of the livefeeds of some of the divers coming back.
They must be exhausted but didn't look like it. Like they'd just come back from a peaceful evening swim!
I'm hoping after some rest and nutrition and health checkups they might be able to go back a bit earlier than reported.

The cave is reportedly known to be dangerous and off-limits.
"The Tham Luang Nang Non caves are known locally as being dangerous and off-limits, a place where parents warn their children not to venture - particularly during monsoon season."
Thailand cave rescue: Football team ‘IGNORED WARNINGS’ about cave, teacher says

Apparently he was connected to these little people provided them feelings of safety throughout the last half of a month

he deserves a hug a big thank you not a prison sentence - imo that is repulsive

it will be interesting -- i think this angle is influenced by the American mind set -- my sense is these folks will cherish him (hopefully)

if he remains alive

if he passes and it happened here people will be suing the rocks for being mean and dangerous the rescuerers for not walking fast enough the cable not being thick enough the pumps for not having the right pumping capacity per hour the ambulance drivers not driving face enough the media slowing things down bla bla

it was a accident

for all we know more would be dead in the cave if it were not for him there kids they don't know how to camp out for half a month in a flooded cave

its all a result imo of this person give him an award not handcuffs..

If there is truly a warning sign at the entrance to the cave re possible danger in the months starting in July then there lies the responsibility. It was not July when they entered. It was June.

Governor: Our operation was more successful than expected. The boys travelled 1km underwater with the first coming out at 5:40pm local time. He would not, confirm which boys have been rescued, though one, a 13 year old was Identified by the Thai press. #thamluangcaverescue

And looking at the map, they had to have gone deep into the cave before the rain started, presumably already passed the "narrow flooded passage."
When was he even intending to bring the boys back, as it seem that trip would have taken many hours.

So if they continue in 10 hours that means 7am local time.

They wouldn't leave them in the chamber that's only about 1km from the entrance, though?

They say they need the divers to get 10 hours rest before finishing the job, so that means the remaining 9 are at a point where they still need divers? Or is it just two who need divers and the rest are still being triaged before exiting?

Clear as mud, but very happy that it's gone well so far. Hoping our code red boy will improve overnight.

Anything about the boy in serious condition at the presser? I'm most anxious to hear about him!

The governor also said all four boys that came out of the cave are HEALTHY, according to ABC NEWS. :)

I'm surprised they didn't have a relay ready, too -- to take advantage of the conditions... a lot can deteriorate in 10 hours. Especially if it rains -- but they're obviously pushing and doing it all the best they can.
And I'm still sending positive energy their way!
