It would also make extra sense that they got the weaker ones out there first. The boys that are the strongest are likely in better shape to spend another night in the caves than they were. As much as I want to see them all out and know they'll all be alright, I'm sure they have everything they need for another night (hypothermic blankets, food) and although far from ideal, some rest will do some good too hopefully...

I agree, I've always thought they should get the weaker ones out first...
I am so grateful for that Aussie Doctor, too!

The rescue chief says they will need 10-20 hrs to prepare for another round of extractions. Says the healthiest boys were taken out first, each with two expert divers guiding them. #thamluang #Thailand

I think 8a.m. local is 1a.m. BST/8 p.m. EST so in about 9 hours it should resume.

...midnight for me here -- I'm headachey, tired, and worn-out, but I know I won't be able to sleep!

I have no idea what rules in Thailand are regarding this. I have never stated otherwise. Which is why I said that here in the US this wouldn't have gone over well, if somebody took kids on a dangerous trip and parents had no clue.

I think the parents did know though, reporters have spoken about other teammates who didn’t go and one was a 13 year old whose mom wouldn’t let him go because she thought his little brother would tag along. She had neighbors pick up her child from practice to insure he didn’t go.

So even that info is contradictory. Some claim healthiest, some claim weakest. And the rain started again.

I’m praying for all but I’m scared how this is affecting the coach now and years later. Regardless if he is charged ( hope not) he must be scared to come out of the cave. I feel like he may feel guilt and shame. I’m sure he will for many years. A fun birthday adventure led to this. My son when he played hockey was so close to his teammates and coaches moreso when the coach is young. They are probably a loving loyal team. My brain cannot take this.

I missed who said it and have such difficulty finding posts on the new forum.

Forgiveness is found in joy.

This is one of the most beautiful sayings I have ever heard. Thank you. I needed this in my own life and situation with my son right now.

Forgiveness is found in joy. ❤️

Well, reports are confusing, some say weakest out, some say healthiest out. I really hope it was the weakest out first simply due to the conditions the ones that have come out already are in. Sure officials said "healthy", but I don't believe they are. I think "healthy" just means alive. They came out on stretchers, then they didn't walk out. At any rate, some of the boys have been rescued!!! For that I am extremely elated!

First they said the weakest ones, now the healthiest ones... getting tired of the inconsistencies... who do we believe??

Also, rain, rain, go away!!

I have never seen it confirmed either, that the parents even agreed to have them go into the cave.

just a hunch my sense is that culturally these are far more laid back trusting non blaming shaming society

just looking at the video of the kids their smiling warmly --

I don't think their culture is anywhere as violent divorced drug addicted machine gun assaults daily etc etc

I would bet there are no permission forms used wanted or needed in that society

trust is a component of the society and culture

what one is exposed to values etc etc

our rankings globally:

over here we come in the top three with drug abuse

top ten for rape

Number one globally in crime

Top of the chart in total crime across the globe

Most violent crimes in the world

Nation with the most rapes

Most locked up folks

Most assaulted population by each other

Use more cocaine than other land on earth

I do think abovementioned influences societies jmo

Thailand vs United States: Crime Facts and Stats

we are number one number one in face lifts however !

Hi hi hi. Found a corner of very rural Yorkshire with a little bit of internet! Thank you to everyone who messaged me with the good news, got nearly 300 posts to catch up on but I gather so far they have got 6 boys out?!?!?

Can’t wait to get home, get my own pesky kids to bed, make a decent cuppa and read all of todays comments!!

The rains..............can it flood them overnight where they are now, supposedly in chamber 3?

Just read another report in an aus paper that said a break of 10 to 20 hours.

During the press conference, the main guy in charge said the kids could walk out after chamber 3.
wonder if he meant chamber 2???

As far as I heard and read in different news reports, it’s not like the team were that far into the cave voluntarily. Seems like they were running from a powerful flash flood and somehow they ended when they were found, so, yeah

I don't know if parents knew about this specific trip, but sounds like coach frequently took children to do various activities and not all parents even approved.

"While he said he was sure the coach was “a great person,” he still felt his son was too young to be going on such trips with just one adult."
