The rains..............can it flood them overnight where they are now, supposedly in chamber 3?
I've been wondering that, I sure hope not.

As far as I heard and read in different news reports, it’s not like the team were that far into the cave voluntarily. Seems like they were running from a powerful flash flood and somehow they ended when they were found, so, yeah
Yeah... I actually wrote essemtially the same thing in my own post a few pages back! No, I think it's a combination of oxygen resupply and the need for divers and kids to rest. When people are exhausted, accidents happen. Better to be safe and give everyone a rest.

The rescue chief says they will need 10-20 hrs to prepare for another round of extractions. Says the healthiest boys were taken out first, each with two expert divers guiding them. #thamluang #Thailand

First they said the weakest ones, now the healthiest ones... getting tired of the inconsistencies... who do we believe??
Also, rain, rain, go away!!
Did you look at the cave map? If they were close to the entrance, and run from the flood, I fail to see how they could have ended up so far away, considering there are higher elevation areas much closer to the entrance.

It takes six hours to get to where they ended up. They had to have intended to go deep into the cave looking at the map to end up where they did.Yeah way in the beginning it was reported it was sort of an initiation ceremony - were youths would run to the back of the cave, write their names on the wall, and run back. It was said that's what the team was attempting to do. But who knows for sure, reporting on this has done a 180 more than once. Sigh.
So even that info is contradictory. Some claim healthiest, some claim weakest. And the rain started again.
Ah, but the kids didnt have a map, did they?? They just went where they saw higher ground.
From an article posted earlier by Shiresleuth iirc the boys had been in the cave before. It takes six hours to get to where they ended up. They had to have intended to go deep into the cave looking at the map to end up where they did.
I have no idea what rules in Thailand are regarding this. I have never stated otherwise. Which is why I said that here in the US this wouldn't have gone over well, if somebody took kids on a dangerous trip and parents had no clue.

No, but “code red” wasn’t mentioned either. I’ll have to issue a correction: no “code red” my apologies for the confusion. https://twitter.com/McBYFU/status/1015970958991978497 …

*** sigh*** I keep hearing the strongest out first, then the weakest out first... now the strongest again. Great, so now the weakest will be going out with even higher water to contend with... even more to worry about.18m18 minutes ago

It also says that gear and masks etc will be checked. I guess the whole route will also be rechecked.

The four boys were on stretchers when they emerged from the cave. They’re now in hospital, some via chopper, some via road ambulance. Rescue mission to resume after masks/gear checked over and tanks replenished #tennews #thamluangcave #thaicaverescue
