Godspeed.
Command of Operations #ThamLuang confirms that the second rescue mission has begun.
Macarena Vidal on Twitter
"The decision to add more British diving experts to the mission was made after Narongsak Osotanakorn, the former governor of Chiang Rai who heads the rescue mission, announced evacuation would begin yesterday. The governor announced a “back-up plan” to dive out the 12 boys and their football coach should the monsoon rains resume before other options could be used to rescue them from a muddy rock shelf in the Noen Nom Sao cave, which is situated 2.5 kilometres inside the larger Tham Luang cave system."
I am so glad the same divers can do it. They probably learned some things.
I hope the caves are sealed. Otherwise there will be people trying to do dangerous thngs in there
it is somewhat daunting that a pro did not make it i think today was a super related to a dry week
i dont think there can be any real way ( deep inside) to ascertain what the rains earlier have done deep inside it would take hours for it to leak down from the surface above the whole channel
it seems like there would be almost like a point of no return by that I mean if they get 3 hours in and deep inside the water soaking down from the surface had three hours to go down and they find the pocket holes for lack of a better word much more full do they just turn around a come all the out with noone
i found weather forecast but i cant find a radar that is current over the area to see what is happening rain wise right now
the coverage is actually getting nuttier I learned a short while ago that it is now daylight we should be getting new on the ground reports but now a lot of folks are doing packages from like yesterday
it also seems very manipulative this time lots of links are doing live links that are not live
I am having tech difficulties.
"We don't know much about their condition but know they arrived.
3 boys and coach confirmed.
Per CBSN livestream.
Because he gave the kids all his food and water and was suffering from malnutrition so that's why he came out.
Paraphrasing.
Their families were not able to spend much time with them bc the helicopter took off in 2 minutes.
Second attempt:
"The operation begins this mornijg...the reason for lag in time is bc they basically have o gave back and replace all of tanks along...if somethings happens in the cave they need to have enough of in the cave to keep everyone alive...
Sirens..
(Oh crap, thanks for telling me, woops, sorry bout that, will edit my post now)The coach isn't one of them. That was a mistake by the media. CBSN is playing a rerun and adding live updates.
This sign from the school that six of the boys attend makes me smile.
Learning English with the boys from the cave. Just in case. A sign at Mae Sai Prasitsart School, where six of the boys are students. #dpareporter #Thailand #ThaiCaveRescue
