Just saw one of the rescuers on Sky News showing a box they are going to set adrift in the cave. It contains a map of the cave system asking them to mark where they are and send it back. I missed part of the report so not sure what else is in the box and how they are going to get it back.

The man also said the water is so muddy the divers can’t see their hands in front of their faces.

It has food, water, phones and medicine too. They sent out twenty of those boxes a couple days ago. Perhaps they are sending more down a different pathway?
Here’s a map of their progress just recently posted on Twitter.

IIRC, I read about the boxes a couple of days ago and the plan. It was hoped the box(ex) would drift thru the system (after the kids find them) and be located by searchers.

Unable to find lost boys, Thai police drop survival packages into cave

Twenty packages filled with water, food, medicine, flashlights and a note for the missing team were dropped down a fissure in the cave, police said.

Unsure of the boys’ location, they hoped the boxes would reach them.

“If the children find this box we want them to float the box out of the cave,” police Colonel Kraiboon Sotsong told reporters.

“The note says: ‘If received, then reply and show on the map where you are. Everybody will quickly help’.”

Been checking in on these boys all day. Lost sleep last night. Time is ticking away. So so sad. Miracles do happen though. I’m trying to stay positive.

More water drained out of Tham Luang cave, search resumes - Thai PBS English News

Rescue teams continued to drain water out of Tham Luang cave throughout the night and are encouraged by the receding water level as the search for the 12 young footballers and their coach trapped inside the cave resumes this morning.

Though weather conditions around the area appear clearer this morning, there are still worries about possible more rain. Thai PBS news team reported that attempts are being made to locate spots through which rain water can flow back into the cave and block them.

Sorry to sound so pessimistic but the boys are likely in complete darkness? Any torches they had with them must have run out of battery power by now. So I think it's unlikely they would find the boxes with supplies or be able to read the note. :(

Just reading on Twitter that the weather is good today again. Hopefully they can pump out enough to make good progress today.

If they each had their own flashlight I hope the coach was smart enough to have them share in order to stretch out battery life. Especially after learning they were trapped.

The boxes have flashlights in them but it would be great if the boxes flashed and or made noise. There must be some way to do that. moo

14 year old Thai boys are still very much little boys, especially country boys like these, they must be so frightened.

And they said there is at least one that’s only 11.

Thai Divers Inch Closer to Finding Boys Trapped in a Cave

Per article:

In a joint press conference with the governor, Navy Admiral Arpakorn Yukongkaew said his SEAL team is setting up a command center deep inside the cave and is preparing a plan to transport them through the flooded corridor. If found alive, their extraction will be complicated; they are likely to be malnourished and possibly injured.

“We still have to find a way to get them out,” he said, moving them from a main chamber to their command center inside the cave, then on to the entrance several kilometers away. “The important thing is that we want to find them today.”
