Tightening up the time line-

It was posted that Tawni and her mother moved to PHX sometime during the summer of 98 from Colorado and had previously lived in MA.

It does make sense that LDJ and WW would have been looking for 'new girls', especially with LDJ's statement to LE that he had other girls working for him before but they left because he never gave them any of the money, just clothes to wear.

I'm going to speculate they were looking for more girls and had possibly gone to parties via contact of whoever they were getting their dope from and happened upon Tawni at an unfortunate time after just having been picked up for shoplifting. She was upset and vulnerable, perfect for LDJ and WW.

I think maybe some people had Tawni and the girl (Monica?) that was in jail in tx, from the police report, confused. The girl that the detective said matched the description. I hope that's not confusing! I think that may account for RA story...maybe? I'm gonna have to go to sleep..lol. I'll be much more helpful when I'm rested.

Does anyone think, based off the conflicting dress she left the house with and the ones she were found in, that perhaps they were taking her for her first "deal" and Tawni tried to fight having to sacrifice her moral beliefs like that?

No I think she had been doing this for awhile. Tawni was a street smart girl. She knew what she was doing. I don't believe she jumped either I think Lindsey pushed her out. :furious: IMO

What motive did LDJ have is the question. If Lindsay pushed her out of the vehicle, she had to of had a motive.. I guess we'll figure that out in time, IF LDJ pushed her out. Tawni was obviously a lovely girl, could she have been jealous? Was there a dispute over who became Alonzo's "bottom ", I wonder? Thoughts?

I didn't mean "bottom " to be a derogatory term, btw. It's a special "status" that a prostitute has with her pimp.. but it usually means that they have been working with that pimp for a while (no, I don't know this from experience, lol), and I don't, IMO, believe Tawni was working for him for very long, if she even was at all.

Tawni's and Monica's description didn't match. The LE checked her picture to rule her out BUT it wasn't Tawni.

As for the "doing this for awhile" and being "street smart", call this a hunch but every story I've heard about Tawni, I can't fathom the thought that she was a "veteran" of the prostitution game.

I don't doubt she may have been "recruited" to be one, but I just can't shake the hunch that she wasn't as "experienced" as most reports seem to indicate.

I don't think there was a motive or something that was pre-planned I think they were fighting about something and this was the end result. IF you were sitting next to the door and somebody was across your lap trying to jump out the window wouldn't you grab a hold of them so they couldn't get out and if you were the driver wouldn't you slow down and stop?? HELL YES!!! I also don't give much credibility to her wounds simply because she went out of a car doing 75mph so of course she is going to look beat up. I do not believe she freaked out either There wasn't anything in her system to make her freak out. I am interested in finding out how big of a girl Lindsey is.

I thought I had heard something along the lines of Tawni going to a special school to get her GED, and she didn't like that she couldn't come home (wherever that was at the time), she was only permitted to stay at home on the weekends, and she didn't like that. Don't quote me!

Ok, can't sleep yet....lol! I want to add some thoughts. Tawni had her mom's ring around her neck...that being said...I don't think she would have been running away for good. Just my opinion. I also don't see why she was shoplifting the night before if her pimp was buying her clothes, just doesn't add up. Who was it that said he was 11 when she went missing? How many brothers does she have?

She had a purse full of condoms according to Shaine so I am pretty sure she had been doing this for awhile. I don't mean this in a bad or judgmental way at all. I have 5 sisters and when one of them was 17 she was a prostitute also. Looking at her you would have never known. She also had a tough life growing up and was also sexually abused. From the sounds of it poor Tawni had a very tough life too.

We aren't 100% sure she jumped I don't think that has ever been established. We have one report from the truck driver saying she jumped and another version was he wasn't sure. I don't know what to believe. I think Shaine even said at first she was pushed then he said she jumped. *sigh*

Ok, here's my thoughts so far. They were seen at the car dealership around 1:00. Left her mom's around noon. How did her mom know that the woman matched LDJ's description? Do we have a pic of LDJ? I think Tawni maybe thought about leaving town after the fight with her mom and then when it came down to it, she didn't want to leave. I would like to know more about the woman she left her mom's house to go stay with. Was Tawni still in HS then? (not sure if that's been mentioned)

Do we know what Tawni was wearing at the dealership? Did she change between her mother's house at 12:00 p.m. and the dealership at 1:00 p.m.?

I didn't suspect you were being judgmental .

Is it possible that maybe she had the condoms for the "safe" method? One of my ex-girlfriends used to carry a good number of condoms with her just in case we got... well.. you get the idea..

The truck driver's perception could have been exactly that.

It still seems entirely too confusing to me to think that she just merely said "Screw it" and jumped out a window at that quick of a speed. I honestly don't think that's physically possible. I think it is possible she could have been PUSHED out an open door, then DeJong could have slammed it or it could have slammed on force on it's own.
