She might have, since she was wearing jeans and a tank at home, she could've just left the tank on and threw on a skirt and did her make up somewhere. Doesn't seem that logical, though. Hmm.

And the talk about the condoms and Tawni being a prostitute and yada yada, if she was living at home, and was being taken care of, why would she feel the need to become a prostitute to take care of herself, unless that's why she was running away (to become a prostitute)? Or maybe she was forced into it, and didn't want to be. Or she might have been doing it for some extra money, maybe since she didn't have a HS diploma she was having a hard time finding a job? Part of me believes she may have been a working girl, part of me believes she wasn't and the condoms were either planted on her or she was just carrying them for safety. But if WW was a pimp, LDJ was a prostitute and Tawni changed her clothing and put make up on between the time she left her mother's house and met her fate on the highway (bless her).. well.. you know.. yeah, don't know where I'm going with this, but this just proves that the police report is not credible (in LDJ and WW statements) whatsoever.. and that is sooo frustrating.

I'd like to think she doesn't have a history of sexual abuse, as she already endured so much in her short life, but that's very true about the security issue. Prostitutes also watch each others back so she may have had that as well.. she may have sincerely confided in Lindsay..

The title of this thread is Tightening up the Timeline.....we are already off in 50 directions.

Let's organize and not jumble up a specific thread w/so many different subjects...so far in the timeline thread the accident, her family, abuse, condoms....am I making sense?

Not trying to be mean or nothin'..we just have to make an effort to keep things organized or we are going to be lost looking for info in scattered threads.

I think her brother Mike was 11 when she went missing.

She has a cousin that posted on City Data that he was 11 when she went missing.

Mike, her sibling, is older. She has one bio sibling that we know of. Her bio dad has been in several relationships where the children were encouraged to call each other step siblings....but there is no blood relationship.

Trying to help get us back on track on this thread....There is a discrepency (sp?) about when Tawni ran away, when her mom tried to report her missing, when she came with the woman to her mom's house to pick up her stuff "for a few days". Unfortunatly, it does make sense "IF" LD and AF were leaving town, that they would have gone my Tawni's mom's house to get some belongings for her as well. It matches up with LD's statement to police about going to a house that day. Do we have any confirmation that they did indeed go to the mimi mart place?

For those who can pinky swear and still have access to this forum-this is what I have learned from family and LE today:

• Tawni was picked up for shop lifting on 1/25/99. Her stepfather brought her home from the police station at 9pm.
• Her mother let her spend the night at a friends after a huge arguement about the shoplifting.
• Tawni returned the next day with a woman fitting LDJ's description. It took Tawni and the woman 1 hour to pack Tawni up for a few days. Tawni told her mother that the woman was a new sweet friend she would be spending a few days with. She said she had met the woman the previous evening at her friends house.
• The woman told Tawni's mom that she would bring Tawni back in a few days when Tawni cooled off.
• They left the house at 12PM on 1/26/99.
• By 2:13PM, Tawni was out of the car critically injured on the highway.
• Tawni left the home in jeans, a scrunchy and a tank top with a black piece of luggage no makeup.
• Tawni was found with a black mini, shoeless, with/without underwear and a white tank top heavily made up.

WW and LDJ claimed that all three stopped at a house-now Believe starts to wonder....could she have been raped at the home? She had a fat lip and at least one bruise on her breast that looked like it didn't fit in with the trip out of the car window. She appeared to have no underwear or torn underwear.

The ME report indicates no sign on her genitals of a forcible assault, but perhaps she was smacked around until she complied some and a condom was used. An assault kit was done, but I could find no indication that it was processed and this does not fall in with the responsibilities of the ME.

HMMMMMM.

Once they hit the highway, they were headed straight into the desert-perhaps Tawni believed that she was going to be killed?

Does her mom recall what kind of car she was in when she left with the woman?
Any idea who the friend was that she spent the night with?
Could RA have met Tawni that night and had the discussion about the strip club, etc?

This is where it all falls apart for me; Tawni left at 12PM from Mom's location...it was 50 minutes or more from there to where she ended up on the highway. There is NO WAY she could have been picked up at the mini-mart...so my questions:

1.) Was William Walker waiting outside in the car for the two of them to leave Tawni's house?

2.) Did LDJ drive the Caddy to pick up Tawni and then did they go back to the motel to get William and pack the car?

3.) When the car salesman saw Tawni arguing with LDJ and Alonzo and being forced into the Caddy around 1PM or so, what was she wearing (Tawni) that is...

Robin's witness statement is where everything jumps the shark for me....when did she actually talk to Tawni? It almost has to have been that day. The reason I mention it is because Tawni was in AZ for less than 3 months when she was killed. For the better part of that time, her movements were very restricted....She was driven to and from all destinations by her mom or stepfather. They only left her at known destinations. (So they say, granted.) Because of her prior history, they were trying to monitor her movements.

The friends house where she was staying was known to Mom and step-dad. They had met the girls parents and been there several times. Mom claims that she had numerous conversations with the girl-friend in the weeks and months following Tawni's disappearance.

Do we have a date about the break in? This confused me too. If it was 5 days after she ran away, and her mom last saw her the same day as the accident, then there is no way she had any part of the break in. Unless, LDJ is the one who broke in. But I think she returned to washington, iirc. Just a thought, how long was AF in jail following the accident?

So, could the woman really have been Lindsey, because at the time, Tawni was 17, Lindsey was only 18 - would she have been referred to as a woman? How old was the friend she had stayed with? :waitasec: Could the woman have been RA?
