Anyone who has followed the thread will know from the beginning I entered this case stone cold I came here with a completely open mind. The programme Missing or Murdered which bought me here and the people mentioned in it meant nothing to me.
And where I believed that it would be the simpliest set of circumtances that led to her disappearance it has proved far from that! today after 7+ months I have a much clearer picture of what I believe was happening around Claudia at the time she disappeared and its much bigger than even I could have imagined.
Because of the enormity of it all I can understand why so little can be made available to the public.

one thing that intrigues me about the case is this.....
there have been goodness knows how many journalists reporting on this....what did gb find out that caused him to be threatened twice.

he did find out something beyond the jealous boyfriend theory.

like kir, ive changed my opinion completely since I came on here...I hoped to find out which one of the 4 it was most likely to have been, then I thought jk would provide the motive, even if she wasn't the perp...but now I think its more complicated

if alley man is our prime suspect, and his friends helped him out doing the clear up....whether it was planned or unplanned...and they were so efficient, what were they. doing letting him return to the scene....he could have told them where he thought stuff was...if there was no trace of him, there'd have been no trace of them....after he'd told me of anything of note to have been done there, id have put a sleeping draught. in his drink.

admittedly, most of the Heworth lot were self employed....did they miss appointments....were all of their jobs related. to the tight knit area

People talk about self employed being able to come and go as they please but March is also a very popular time of year to take your first week of your holiday entitlement !

probably, popejohn, but you've also got appointments with customers, and, if any of those fell outside the Heworth sphere of influence, customers. might have reported it....maybe they did and we dont know.

most fields of self employment are also quite competitive...its easy to lose customers....id. say its undecided whether this would be an advantage

I think the family have a clearer picture of what was going on around her PJ .. their dilema lies in her how she disappeared

I'm open minded for different theories. If the motive might be non-sexual, which men and women would no longer be relevant in this case then?

Very interesting, what you are saying, but I'm lost. I might need a little help re the direction, you are heading towards.

I wouldn't say that any of the people weve considered would definitely be irrelevant....id think most of them know about what was going on, but. I dont know if any or many or which were involved in Claudius. disappearance.

I dont think anyone intended claudia to die...something went wrong....although the people involved were certainly accustomed to using violence, but, although one of them may....but only may...have delivered the fatal blow, I dont think the heworth crew were.

I think they were near the end of a chain of drug dealers or something like that...ie selling the product on to the final customer and whatever was going on was put into motion by the bigger boys. or mainly a rival gang...I may be wrong, of course, maybe the Heworth lot did get more actively involved....or we may be talking about something claudia got involved in that the Heworth lot didn't, but they've since learned about.

if you look at the cctv really carefully, in a darkened room, I think you will notice some odd things...im no good at tech, so, if I can see them you can....I wouldn't have just thought this , but the comments by gt got me wondering and I started. to question the likelihood of the sexual betrayal theory in light of what we do know and I went off it....unless she betrayed a mr. big in whatever activity we may be considering

when I talk about the Heworth lot and violence, I think they may have been used to punch ups, but I dont think they were involved in the sheer brutality that criminal gangs demand from their enforcers....look at keep it reals comments about the cctv again...id have never believed. it.

they may have been called in to clear up or in some foot soldier capacity....but I dont think they designed this

I’m going to have to ignore drug related posts from now on. Please. Anybody. List the EVIDENCE for drugs and not just oh this CCTV footage Magnified to 1000 so it’s entirely pixilated looks like a pack of weed rubbish. I want proper evidence not speculation

arcade fire...we may be wrong, but give me your evidence it was just a boyfriend issue....ive known quite a few women who have had lots of boyfriends, some of them married, some dubious, but. they've never been bumped off.

as far as I know, there's no record of a boyfriend threatening her and the police have never said that its specifically boyfriend related, so we could just as well say ignore that...which we aren't doing.
im not suggesting magnifying the cctv to 1000...im just saying look at it carefully...you can see better. with the lights out.

im not arrogant enough to rule out your boyfriend theory...but I think, if thats true, its someone of considerable criminal or financial or local clout because of the way it was cleared up so
efficiently.

of course, you could be right that it was just. some ordinary bloke whose friends had no experience of how to. clean up a crime. scene and they all just got very lucky...but id say thats definitely against the laws of probability

Penelope's story is interesting, but not fully reasonable and not complete, IMO.
