Perhaps the police are wrong and there was an income coming in from elsewhere, perhaps they were right and there wasn’t. Even if it could be proved she was engaged in supply and demand - which I find hard to believe for many reasons - it doesn’t move you any closer to identifying a killer.

a dealer high up that has ordered a hit - they’d just kill her - no need to hide a body and clean up the evidence. The reason there’s no body, no crime scene and no motive is because - the killer got very lucky and is beyond the radar or he’s right in front of us, she was covered in his DNA and she had to be removed never to be found. I’m still of the belief she came to harm on the morning of the 19th - her slippers are by the door, her rucksack is missing with her hair straighteners and her chef whites, her mobile phone is also missing, breakfast pots in the sink , bed made. The police do not put these clues together without careful examination.
so it’s a drugs related murder - why has there been no related drugs arrests in Heworth ? Over 100 officers and a £1.5million investigation - come on your kidding yourselves. This is someone with a sexual interest.

Or if we consider all possiblities
He couldnt take that route because Heworth Rd was blocked off to traffic that morning and only authorised vehicles were being allowed through, because CL's disappearance had happened on the weds evening and there was already a law inforcement presence on Heworth rd on the thurs morning

This is news to most of us including her family and friends I suspect .if true then conspiracy theories would be justified .

New article from the DM:

Claudia Lawrence's mother reveals she fells 'forgotten' by police | Daily Mail Online

"Missing chef Claudia Lawrence's mother will spend her 11th Christmas without her daughter next week.

Joan Lawrence, 77, said she feels 'forgotten' after the police officer leading the cold case into the disappearance of her daughter retired in August.

Joan, who lives alone in her flat in Malton, North Yorkshire, told the Mirror: 'This year has been so difficult. It’s getting close to Christmas, which always makes me sad, not having my youngest daughter with me.'"

Arrests happened few months after CL disappearance .
Over 100 officers involved. How many of these officers were also involved in the above mentioned undercover operations?
Did they mix both investigations?
Did any officers go for example “ hmm what’s that funny smell in that room then ..”
Oh I see .... you’re not here to ask about Claudia ...you’d better clear off ... I’ve got nothing more to say !
Now in his report ( officer attached to drug squad say ) will conveniently neglect to mention that ‘funny’ smell ! Imo

York’s a big place and generally you do not hear of people getting murdered over the discovery of growing a bit of weed

Thats right and this particular cannabis factory of 1500 plants had an estimated street value of £500,000 with the factory producing crops worth £1 million a year, at least one of its members was murdered around the same time Claudia went missing.
So are what we seeing in the video clips at Heworth place activities connected to this gang, were some of the student rental properties in Heworth rd/place being used as drops to supply students in Heworth, the Limes and more importantly the Uni.
Did she witness these activities at both locations reaching an unacceptable level by having a serious impact on young people and made a descision to let NYP know?

Cannabis farmers murdered man in York
North Yorkshire Police believe a Chinese crime syndicate was linked to the Elvington operation and similar illegal farms in Bristol, Sheffield, Doncaster, Birmingham and elsewhere, and had shadowy foreign financial backing.
One of the gang claimed during his trial that killer Bao Lung Huang was a member of the 14K Triad crime mob, which is based in Hong Kong but has members worldwide.
Leeds Crown Court heard murder victim Cai Guan Chen, 38, and his killers Huang and Zhouli Zhang, fell out over how they would split the profits from the warehouse on Elvington Industrial Estate that had been secretly converted into a huge cannabis factory producing crops worth £1 million a year.

Can you please explain this statement - how could you know this and then why on public appeal did they focus the investigation to a morning event - witness

Good to read plenty of supportive comments beneath the article.

I would politely point out I said ' Or if you consider all possibilities'

Im not sure how far back in the thread you have read but there has been discussions here regarding the morning of the 19th on heworth road being a 'clean up' day.
A former memberof WS also pointed out that there was a flashing light sequence in the paned window of the property on the corner of Heworth Plce and various suggestions were made as to which type of vehicle could have such a light sequence.
It will depend of course on your own personal research as to what you what you think was happening on Heworth rd on the 18th & morn of the 19th and if a clean up was being done who was doing the it.
Personally I think there was a clean up in operation. Under the wall of the Limes on the main road there appears to be a lorry which is either a tanker type/road/drain cleaning vehicle, or has 2 large liquid containers on it.
The flashing lights could possibly be and I repeat could be the light sequence of a mobile diverted traffic/traffic cone dropping vehicle. I have attached a highway video that show this type of vehicle in operation at night to demonstrate the sequence of lights which operate on vehicles and traffic cones skip to 3.08 in video.

These are my opinions only

@keep-it-real I'm afraid this one of your theory's falls flat on its face for the following reasons. I hope that you do not mind me pointing this out:

1. D_O in his CH5 appearance doesn't recall why he did not call for Claudia that morning or why he decided to detour.
I'm sure that a road closure would have stuck in his head and given him a good reason to provide media with instead of appearing vague.

2. The breaking car did not appear to find an issue with circumnavigating such a road closure if there was one.

and it
I also read somewhere, i don't recall where, that Major Crimes Unit had been asked by someone about the flashing lights and they had tried to cover this observation up by claiming that it was the street light that wasn't flashing in the CCTV footage when Alley man appeared that morning in Heworth Place??

Finally, I have to say that I am struggling to see the tanker type vehicle by the wall of the limes. But I do agree that it is possible that at this time of day, that a breakdown / road sweeper type vehicle could have been deployed.

Of course a perpetrator (s) could have deployed that said vehicle.

Would the breaking car be an authorised vehicle?

@keep-it-real I recall that in an earlier post you had managed to blow up a still of the CCTV footage from Alleyman and you could see an oriental lion and a Dragon on a backpack that he was carrying. Are you able and permitted to share this as I was not alone in struggling to detect this?
