Yes but people here have a visual image through the reconstruction of the event on Crimewatch where the colour of the vehicle was shown plus the couple were on the opposite side of the road and not exactly standing near the car.

obviously the car has to have a colour and the couple have to be stood somewhere. Crimewatch in my opinion was a poor representation of the facts and I believe the case may of progressed better had Claudias case not been on it. That's the benefit of hindsight. Still I would think lessons have been learned. The car could of been a silver focus, it may of been a ford ranger who knows.....

I was reluctant to believe the sighting at first but why was the phone powered down at noon near to the university if she was killed the previous night?

The sightings x 2 , the power down , missing work clothes and bag suggest to me claudia was in that area on that morning.

the missing work clothes and bag merely indicate that she left the house alive in my opinion. the sightings x 2 are a possibility - though the first and the last were a long time apart. the time her phone was powered down has no correlation to a morning or night time event. just because its closer to a morning event cant give you any indication either way. you might be right and you might not. the sightings x2 may of happened on different days, neither sighting can be backed up with a secondary source - cctv etc. She was not seen on cctv on the 19th anywhere - just luck?

Again the siting of the Left handed smoker and female on melrosegate bridge was Weds not Thurs.

sorry to repeatedly post this but the sighting of the left handed smoker on the bridge was not on Thurs it was Weds. This correction was made in the follow up Crimewatch programme

This makes sense to me .She was IMO seeing someone new and he was not from the NH pub .
In fact they seemed to have missed her in the NH.
DO was told she was with a new boyfriend .Then is seen again with him ? at melrosegate bridge on wed and yet again on Thursday morning .
The mystery boyfriend existed IMO

I believe all sightings, Suzy waiting in the nags head and alley man with Co was to distract from the Wednesday evening. It was When Claudia stopped using her mobile phone. NYP changed and Dai stated Claudia was carried through the back alley, I believe he now had reason to believe this x

It’s certainly a possibility my issues are - why is the rucksack missing with the straighteners. She would consciously put them in her rucksack for an overnight stay, unless of course she had already left them elsewhere, though that still doesn’t explain the missing rucksack. Someone parked outside could of entered Claudias house on the night of the 18th and for whatever reason dispatched her then. The focus in the morning may of been picking him up and as you quite rightly say she may of exited down the alley. Based on where I am on my thinking she’s died between 9.01pm on Wednesday 18th 2009 and 5am Thursday 19th 2009 unfortunately in my opinion.

Well we know on occasion Claudiua had a lift from over and snelling, perhaps others. for the police to ask for the left handed smoker to come forward by the witness from the cyclist that the police must know she didn’t have a lift that day and walked.

@Vixey whats your opinion on the phone location when powering down. Do you think that this was to divert attention?

I have to say if something happened to claudia on the way to work the perp/s didn't have much time to act to coverup temporarily or remove CL completely from the area, as im sure that the area around the university campus would be getting busier with students and staff also on their commute. Which does beg the question why so few sightings?!

The Crimewatch programme reported that the witness had come forward so we hope the police checked him out prior to releasing his sighting to the public.

Claudia stopped using her phone as is normal when one goes to bed .

do you mean a rucksack? it was in a sighting that one matching cls was spotted on the grounds close to the arguing couple

And the witness ( although he never came forward) mentioned the scarf shoe and rucksack.... implying a struggle had taken place perhaps ?
The police checked the place a day or two later .
An opportuning thief ( stealing by finding ) would not have bothered with a single shoe .
The perpetrator went back and picked ALL these items knowing their importance .IMO

Quite right FG.. I think what people are missing here is that we have never been shown footage from the Limes cameras that covered Heworth place the onstreet parking there and the parking inside the Limes complex. Why?

Do I believe Suzy is capable of lying, then yes it is possible in my opinion. There could be many reasons for this also and Suzy has previously lied when asked a question. It is possible also that Suzy did sit and wait Thursday evening for Claudia, but it is also possible Suzy was already aware of a reason to be concerned prior Friday morning. Who knows the truth of who was sat in the nags any of the days running up to Claudias disappearance as no cctv x
