Off at a slight tangent but I’d been wondering about Claudia’s working career in York and suddenly found this 2009 article in which CL’s manager at the Monkbar Hotel in York confirms that Claudia actually worked there for seven years until leaving in July 2006.
‘You could always depend on Claudia’
This information is helpful when reading the Mail article below, which includes an interview with a close male (pre-Heworth) friend who claimed in 2009 to have known her for over 8 years, and estimated the number of her relationships with men as 30-40. He said it was important the public should be given a complete picture of her character, no matter how uncomfortable it may be, and added that she went for married men. There are clear references to his being at work with her so based on the length of their friendship it seems feasible that he probably worked with her at the Monkbar

These claims were strenuously denied by Suzy Cooper two days later in the same paper in the article linked below.

I don’t believe CL moved (home) to York until 2004 when she broke up with her Malton boyfriend so did she commute from Malton for several years? After leaving the Monkbar I believe CL worked at the Comfort Inn at 53 Piccadilly, York for about a year before, of course, starting at York University in 2007.
