That said, NGL - I’m starting to see “ghosts” again (or at least curves where I’d expect to see only the straight lines of walls) behind the Ranger, apparently within the front yard of number 50.

I have looked at it again, I see where you are coming from but it is still a stretch for me. This is a busy road, you could not have a body lying there at that time of night without being seen. It's very implausible to me, images are too vague, they are not going to help catch anyone.
The body could be mistaken as someone drunk and so it is plausible.

It might have just been a single deck, most regular services are operated by double deckers in the busy daytime and single deckers in the evening and night time.
The registration number o0f the bus shown on cctv may identify the type of bus. Im not a bus maniac but someone who is may be able to identify if t was a double or single decker.

Just spotted two more people in the BUS CCTV Windscreen reflections. And I've done a breakdown of it FOR IDIOTS. "An idiots guide to seeing faces." will be in all good bookstores soon x

I do not know who they are. I know nothing.

PS: When one walks towards a mirror. The reflection is a 'view' from an angle pointing opposite to the way you are travelling. This is how I get to see behind the vehicle (outside Claudia's home) from the bus travelling passed it... and how I get to show you Claudia's door from the other side of the car parked infront of the RANGER. I know the bus is travelling first passed the NAG's HEAD then CLAUDIA's. I'll give you bite-sized chunks till you catch-up.

Does anyone know if the NH employed security guards on that night ? And if so did they stay overnight in one of the rooms upstairs ?

Check the interactive map at the top of the page and click on the red triangles - no triangle for Claudia's lift from a friend

I was all into your theory... esp when I saw the address had a DARK GREY DOOR back in AUG 2008 and had become a BLUE door in OCT 2009. It would be a great way of getting rid of any DNA that hit the door (by replacing the door). I also saw a PILE OF LEAVES that may be giving you dead-body-vibes. Nice spot though. Not dismissed it... I mean you could hide a body in those leaves 50/50.

Door and frame painted.
Missing metre box door replaced also?

Found this Planning Application from Transcore (Peter Ruane) regarding land at back of Nags Head. It was approved but don't know if building has started.
62 Heworth - a Peter Ruane ) [Jen's partner] property... is placed perfectly for the speeding car in the Heworth Rd footage (to turn into)... as is the Nag's Head access road. Get that area ground X-rayed!

Leaves falling in March? But yes, as you note - the door was repainted between August 2008 and October 2009, though my guess from the bus images is that it was already blue by March 2009. And the whole door was replaced between 2012 and September 2014 - by which time press articles had noted the removal of two doors from the Acomb pub. But it could of course have happened at any point during those two years.

Just to note also - the point indicated in my post was inside the front yard of number 50 rather than the pathway in front of number 48 - per the streetview image below:
