Claudia Lawrence investigation
http://www.northyorkshire.police.uk/13147

It is now six years since Claudia Lawrence disappeared without trace in York. Despite the intensive efforts of the police, the resolve of her heart-broken family and saturated media coverage, her sudden disappearance remains a mystery.

North Yorkshire Police's commitment and determination to solve the case and bring closure for Claudia's loved-ones, is undiminished by the passage of time.

Detective Superintendent Dai Malyn, head of the force's enhanced Major Crime Unit, is leading a comprehensive review of the original investigation.

This has been supported by national experts from other forces and agencies, including forensic specialists who recently completed a re-examination of Claudia's home on Heworth Road in York.

As a result of this work, Det Supt Malyn and his team have identified new lines of enquiry and fresh public appeals to pursue, as well as renewed appeals on previous key items of interest to the investigation.

Detective Chief Superintendent Simon Mason, Head of Crime for North Yorkshire Police, said: "The decision to focus and prioritise the efforts of the enhanced Major Crime Unit on this case and undertake a comprehensive review of the original investigation, is producing progressive results which we expect to continue over time."

SOURCE MATERIAL: The only BUS CCTV material and Google Street Maps Heworth Road Oct 2009

CRAZY FOOTNOTE: For this to be true it has to be a reflection of a reflection (And all I can think of is the image hitting the surface of a vehicle (black tinted/mirrored surface) . Zig-zagging with a Z shape from the door to the vehicle and up into the windcreen of the BUS. Chance of that ?! But this DOES explain HOW an image from lower left can get upper right on the windscreen of the BUS and be the correct orientation. A million to one chance.

The Root book suggested CL got a lift home pretty much from the uni, then went out again to Melrosegate PO to post the letter - the cctv suggests otherwise. Crimewatch had CL picked up just after posting the letter at Melrosegate PO. And then there are more recent claims that she wasn’t given a lift at all that day. Afaik, the idea that she went back out again hangs largely on the childminder sighting, though it’s never been entirely clear where this occurred.
I agree with your comments @shadwell . For crime watch to include her being given a lift by a person called Jo and shown as female in the reconstruction, the police would have had to sign of the crime watch reconstruction and so I do believe that she was given a lift.
The childminder seeing her could of course have been on a different day.

Surely the colleague would know where she picked her up.
The reconstruction if you watch it shows exactly where she was picked up at a very distinct lay-by after the post office. Watch the reconstruction and then on Google maps follow the route from the post office along the route to her home. You will then be able to identify where she was picked up. Hope that this helps.

Am I looking at the right image? The bottom left image the near side front wing and seeing what looks like Claudias lifeless body under her front window?
@Blonderabbit I think the person (Female) sat out of sight as the person knocks is a female in hiding and waiting for CL to open the door. This person does have the look of JK

Although I'm recognizing mostly very little only, I want to express my thoughts: If I see an arm and it is the same arm from the pictures above that ^^ post, then there isn't someone knocking on the door, no matter if Claudia or another person. In the pictures before, the naked arm belonged to one person, who was very near at least two more people, identified as possible JK plus one other. If these three people are "around the naked arm", Claudia's door has to be open for enough space. I think so. - Does anybody see, if the door is within the picture (of the tumult) and if the door is open or closed??
ETA: The naked arm within "the tumult":

Sorry but your interpretation of the very fuzzy and obscure pictures is a massive stretch and for me clutching at straws. You can see whatever you want to see in images like these, they can be very misleading. To start talking about "lifeless bodies" is a stretch too far for me, I see nothing at all, just smudges. Love your enthusiasm but please keep realistic, these images prove nothing.

I think you should take a closer look - look at the images Shadwell posted taken from the top deck cctv images courtesy of the mirror. It looks to me like a body - it matches up in size and it’s on the original source data - probably put there hoping the suv would obscure the bus.
This explains so many questions

I have looked at it again, I see where you are coming from but it is still a stretch for me. This is a busy road, you could not have a body lying there at that time of night without being seen. It's very implausible to me, images are too vague, they are not going to help catch anyone.

Well with respect I beg to differ - I’m surprised there hasn’t been pictures in the newspapers with headlines saying could this be Claudia Lawrance lifeless body. Personally I think it is.

I’m sorry I cannot make anything if it. If you were showing this to the team it has to be credible and understandable - I’m liking your effort and enthusiasm - however something like this has to be able to recognisably implicate a perp and for me it’s not there - apologies if it’s not what you want to hear - please keep trying !
Only people present might be able to tell who is who .

When people question 'fuzzy' images... <modsnip> .. all the best pics of CLAUDIA taken at the University are 'fuzzy'... and they are taken during daylight... and were released by the Police.

Male/female/how they walk/ where they said they were (even if it is a lie) will all come out in the wash. And it is...

Everyone seems to have disappeared. I remember watching an appeal featuring Jk she was saying she often cleaned Claudias windows - I wonder if she cleaned the floor outside the windows as well!!
I thought I’ve read / seen every thing on this
case but never heard this before ! You seem to be privy to confidential info .. great if this is so
