I'm an unlucky wretch, because I have unfortunately just picked out the cases, that don't get solved for years. Sigh.

Nothing new about CL today? Or about the many people, I can't remember the initials of most of the time? (Sigh too.)

Evil killer Christopher Halliwell who murdered two women and serving life

Halliwell has since been linked with the cases of several missing women in his home time and Fulcher also linked him to the disappearance of Claudia Lawrence.

While Halliwell is only serving life sentences for the murders of two women a secret trophy collection of 60 items of women's clothing suggest there could be more victims.

Still counting as news and not deleted ....

Becky Godden-Edwards' mum's plea: 'Tell us where your other victims are, Halliwell'

The social media source claimed a male friend had seen Claudia Lawrence speaking to Halliwell. He had tried to take the case to the police, but claimed they were not interested.
In her book, Karen says Wiltshire Police’s major crimes team arranged a meeting between her and the North Yorkshire detective leading the investigation into Claudia Lawrence’s disappearance. He was adamant Halliwell had never been to York, she said.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: “We have not uncovered any links between Halliwell and any other murders across the country.

“We are continuing to conduct proportionate enquiries to establish whether Halliwell may have committed any further homicide offences. We are keeping an open mind and will follow the evidence wherever that may take us.”

Interesting to read neighbours' perceptions of Halliwell. Makes you shudder.

Brian Jerome who lived nearby said at the time of his arrest: "He's a really nice guy. He'd always have a smile and he'd often be out working on his car.
"I couldn't believe it when I heard. Nice man, nice family, nice girls."

Fellow minicab driver Neil Barnett said: "Real nice bloke, a genuine bloke, a normal run-of-the-mill bloke. I've got two daughters I would have trusted them in his car."

Who is Christopher Halliwell, is the A Confession killer still alive and how many people did he kill?

Did you see The Confession on itv? V nicely done I thought. I realised from this programme/mini series that CH knew Becky. He abducted Sian late at night. Both were v petite girls.

A tiny nugget of information I wasn't aware of from an article published 6 days after her disappearance:

She then alerted Miss Lawrence's father who used his key to get into the house early on Friday afternoon. 'It looked as if she had left for work,' she said. 'Her handbag was on the bed and everything was tidy.' Suzy Cooper

Father of missing chef Claudia retraces daughter's walk to work in desperate plea for information | Daily Mail Online

Thoughts anyone?

Who takes their handbag to the bedroom?

If that's true, it's very odd. It makes me think it was staged to look as though she has left for work.

@Yozzer
Thoughts:

If she or someone was getting something out of it-Possibly a condom.

Staged as said by @Mrs Marple

Someone else looking for something incriminating in it

My most likely
Returned home with it and quick turnaround to work so bag on bed as she changed

I don't find this odd at all. As soon as I come home from work I take my handbag with me to the bedroom get changed and transfer anything I might need to a smaller going out handbag if I'm going out.

I was thinking that myself. Maybe she was switching handbags is my only theory.

Yes switching handbags maybe. Seems odd it was just left on the bed though. It might indicate she went out that night but we know that's unlikely. She didn't have any known plans and didn't mention it to her parents when she spoke to them.
