The couple is walking from right side to left side (pic) and the man with dark trousers/light jacket is walking from left side to right side (pic); same street, same footpath, opposite direction.

I was referring to a male who was part of the group heading towards Stockton Ln, the group walking ahead of mystery man. He is only visible for a split second. A minute or so later, the man you refer to walks from Stockton Lane towards Nag's Head as mystery man heads back towards Heworth Road. I don't think it's the same guy who was with the group, but it's possible. Equally he might be the person standing in the porch area of the property opposite who is dressed in a similar outfit! A lot could have happened in the minute or so which has been cropped from the video clip.

if police have identified that group to the left well and good but if not we and especially the people of Heworth, need to see a much longer clip imo

What was he doing in April 2014 in Heworth Place in these pictures?
Note the lady / man in the silver VW. This car is not parked up and is a distance from the kerb, suggesting that they were there for a quick errand.
Was Horwell still the owner of the Maroon Volvo in the picture at the time these stills were captured?

He owned this Volvo with reg L330AM from 2012.
He sold it to David Robinson who switched the plate to YO1 in 2014.
Both registrations had a level of personalisation. L33 (Lee) YO1 being the name of Robinson's Double Glazing business.
Robinson was a POI in 2015.
Horwell was never arrested. His wife and childhood sweetheart left him when she discovered his affair with Claudia.
Note how he has what appear to be medications in one hand and car keys in the other.
The Maroon Volvo is regularly parked in this area yet neither of the two aforementioned were known to live here?
Note how in one shot Horwell is stood next to the driver side of the Silver VW.
We know from the other shot that someone else was driving at the time and so was there a "trade" taking place?
Also note another silver car-A Renault parked at the end of the Cul-de-Sac, Heworth Place. Is there someone waiting in this car?
Was the Silver Renault the one that belonged to SR the brother of PR?
It is believed that both SR and PR lived in Heworth Place around this time.
Today PR owns 15 Heworth Place. Where the car was close to.
PR lives in Heworth Road today.
There appears to be something unusual in many of these characters still living and socialising in this area, an area with lots of very sad memories and past dark forces.
We get much in the way of theories on this thread and a fair share of disruption.
To date little concrete to discuss due to the time passing since Claudia's disappearance.
I do believe though that WS is still the best thread online for carrying information on the case.
We should perhaps spend some time discussing this?
Was Claudia involved in medications or was there an overdose of such occurring that took her life?

I’m not sure the activities around there 5 years later have anything to do with the case.
Life goes on for both guilty and innocent .
Some of the poi could have turned sleuths in order to clear their name and I say good luck to them if this is the case .

You lament the lack of new and concrete ideas on this case especially since it’s 11 years old.
I do hope though that the reason for this is because the people with ‘concrete’ ideas are going straight to the police .
The cold case people seem to be more understanding and responsive than the previous lot !

Could it be they are trying to clear their names ?
They can’t all be guilty ( if any )and I think they’ve spoken to many about the case .They have wives and husbands friends children must be a fair number who know they are innocent .
But why don’t they speak up more ?
Don’t they know mud sticks ?
If they are innocent ( and I believe they are ) why don’t they come out in the open and CONVINCE the police so the police can concentrate on other leads ?
