Hi cottonweaver, I understand but thought it was interesting that she only mentioned the SM aspects as though that's all they were asking/expecting them to do. They maybe doing the other stuff too of course & she didn't want to mention it or she did but the news cut that bit out.

Who knows, indeed. Anyway, whilst catching up I saw another better post on satellite use by poster Amonet on page 53.

Hi everyone.

For those who are currently playing the ping pong game, you may wish to review what LE said in early October regarding Corrie's phone.

At the very beginning of the press conference, the LEO stated that he didn't feel the speed could be determined, however it does not appear to be a speed in which one could walk.

I believe he also answered another question regarding the phone later in the presser.

Cheers GT. Will take a view of that.

GT, are you saying that we have to disregard these statements and the other statement?

If so, I really think we are missing an important piece of evidence here.

So anyone who thought he left on foot or is still in the building probably didn't vote in this. I didn't vote cos I didn't think it was a hook up so what i thought wasn't there. It's interesting how many went for male driver though, especially as he's not gay.

Corrie had joined up 3 years ago so he's had money going into his account all that time, so where's it all gone that this 'getting paid in a week's time' has been given so much emphasis by N? She almost makes it sound like it's his first pay packet.

OK, he's got nice threads, maybe paying his mum towards the phone and car, maybe wasn't thinking of going out cos he was a bit short, but if he's got some direct debits and can burn through his pay that fast I don't see that waiting 1 week more to do a runner is a possibility.

That's not the way I understand Nicola's comment, I think she is just saying that it was nearly payday, like lots of us Corrie was short near the end of the month. I can't be the only one who's been invited out, thought I'd better not go as I need to be a bit careful with my remaining money until payday then thought, what the hell, I'll go anyway.

I'm surprised that this has become anything important, he's a young lad who pots a night out above sensible budgeting, that's not unusual is it?

Quoting both of you just for clarity's sake.

My concern re. The financial issue is that, just like the puppy, it's been given as a reason, repeatedly, as to why

- why he ought to have have waited for 1 week til payday.... if he was planning on going missing.
- and interpreted as a reason( in some quarters) as to why he wouldn't be able to go AWOL full stop. ( the untouched bank accounts are thrown in too.)

All this is just as specious /“nebulous” as anything we might say on WS.
( I'm putting the side-issue about having no £ but still going out drinking aside for a moment. )

Why wait a week IF you are living beyond your means/poss have debts/DD's at start of month ( as per French's post) – it doesn't necessarily make a lot of difference.
You could still go missing IF you were skint IF you had other funds/ financial support from x person(s) unknown
Plenty of missing persons go missing both with very little planning and presume some do with the assistance of a supporter
(Not seen enough “evidence” in the constantly evolving info. yet to convince me that he couldn't have walked off/been assisted to leave.)
And you may not have planned to go missing for this long either so again your financial considerations would be different.

Yes, when you posted this I too could see why people thought it could be Corrie and considered the idea. The reason I find it hard to believe it is, is because that would involve a change of clothes and I personally don't think it was pre-planned.

It is interesting but after I'd compared a range of CCTV stills of 0.35 Cornhill figure and then looked at the moving Corrie CCTV I was surprised to see the outline of a shirt tail as Midsummer says.

But signal reduces in all directions...

How could they possibly know that the phone travelled in a certain direction? = App updates and mast signal strengths.
How do the know the phone travelled from A to B?= Mast signal strengths
How do they know the phone hasn't moved after 0800= no other cell has picked up the phones signal yet.

Jessie was probably asking for a link re wine top! My link clears up the infernal "are we sure there is focus 12 accom in the horseshoe" question I hope!

I was, you are quite correct. I didn't word my post clearly - and that can raise confusion here. :shame:

I have read all the online info re: Focus12 - treatment - costs - accommodation - and also TTWO's post about their new premises, so am personally quite clear on these other points..

I just saw Nicola on the news in a short recorded piece speaking about the company they have hired. She was talking about the company using algorithms & collating social media before passing it to the police. I didn't hear any mention of satellite imagery etc.

Is this the video? http://www.itv.com/news/anglia/2017...s-she-wont-give-up-hope-of-finding-him-alive/

Genuine question. What has collating/analysing FB/SM got to do with Corrie? Do they believe he was targeted via it and the perp is active on SM?

Someone said about the puppy and the purchase price, looking at the pic of the puppy it could either be a French bulldog puppy or a staffy type pup...I'm not sure how old the puppy is but if it was a French bulldog you're looking at between £1,500 - £3,000 which might explain why he was skint.
Staffordshire bull terriers on the other hand can go for £100 non Kc reg to £700 for kc registered.
The point is he may have been broke but if he's saved up to buy this puppy and is devoted to her then to me as a dog owner it makes it less likely that he's just going to abandon her.

Thanks for the link GT.

IMO the bin lorry is the only vehicle they have proof of being in Bury and BM between 0308 and 0450.

The 28 min has been picked up on because this is the time that the bin lorry took from HS to BM.

What this says- Phone could have been in BM anytime from 0308(plus travelling time) to 0450 provided it was switched off.

I remember watching a video of him on youtube and he had a tattoo on his chest (just trying to find it now)

A lot of his YT vids aren't there anymore.

It's called big data profiling.

Essentially build up a set of characteristics shared by individuals who were present in areas of interest at a specific time.

These characteristics are then cross referenced against the SM of persons/groups of interest who's location could not be determined.

Thanks. Not sure I quite understand it but it seems a bit of a long shot. Who's to say any perp/third party even has/does SM?

A few years back, we had a trash company that when they collected, there was a driver, and two men in the back walking who positioned the bins onto the lift. I remember watching them take things out of the bins, sometimes they wanted to keep. Just wondered if you are a driver or a sorter at the station, are you always looking for things tossed away that might have value? If they spied a phone, might they not grab it? If they were asked about it a few days later, maybe you just say you never saw anything. Just a thought.

I've done nothing all week except ask people I know if they "found" a phone and sold it and later on they found out it was part of a missing persons enquiry would they say something and probably lose their job? And I've had a lot of "errrrrrm I don't know" answers.

That was me. Thanks for the info. And yea if you're going to invest that much in an animal you're not going to abandon it. But so many people abandon dogs I can barely believe myself when I say that above sentence. I just don't know..

Geo tagging on SM shows where people are or have been, and when.
A picture is then built of what the average visitee to an area at a specific time looks like in terms of age, sex, appearance, all kinds of traits.
This set of characteristics are then referenced against individuals who have been identified as being loosely present but not Geo tagged, or who are of interest to them for whatever reason.

Massive long shot as we have a potential perp who is 15 weeks clear, not a shred of evidence, do we really think their SM accounts have the smoking gun?

Thanks. Not sure I quite understand it but it seems a bit of a long shot. Who's to say any perp/third party even has/does SM?

Oh no, I'm not saying to disregard anything at all.

It's up to all of you to put as little or as much weight as you choose into the various statements.

I was just bringing LE's statements regarding the phone timings up for consideration as you try to get the bottom of this. Since they are the ones who have access to and investigated the phone data and records, I would consider their statements to be accurate and credible. JMO :)
