It is facing the correct way (on to Short Brackland) in the 2015 pic but because that G+G Gallo lorry is in the way you have to view from Well street to see it. In the 2009 pic it is facing away hence my #2 question/problem in my previous post.

Have Uncle Tony, who has seen the footage, confirmed Corrie could not have left by foot without being seen by the static camera. It had to be a vehicle.

Where is 3:52 from? Pretty sure the police said 4am?

I took the quote from an earlier poster...
'Anyway, I am pretty satisfied that the bin was collected at around 3.52am
It weighed 11 kilos'.

His Mum said on FB it was a Biffa lorry. Their site is at Hollow Road behind sugar beet factory. But the phone was tracked to Barton Mills at same time/route as a bin lorry. I am confused.

You see, I just get the impression that Uncle Tony would have been around all the cameras, including that one.

But he would have been "late" to the investigation.
And the biggest "clue" in this case was if the phone had travelled in the bin lorry, or not.

Two of the biggest clues in Short Brackland.... and they both draw a blank !

The recycled things, don't get "sorted" pre recycling or burning ?
And the camera that could provide other answers, isn't providing anything ?

Hmmm

It does seem more and more likely to be the case from what we can tell. There are outstanding questions, though.

1, When did the next bin lorry come to pick up a bin after the one at ~04:00am?
2, When was the next time someone from Greggs, Superdrug etc place anything in a bin?

Someone on the Facebook also asked a good question (that I assume has been checked). Did the bin lorry drivers mobile phone ping in the same places and times as Corrie's?

  • #687
His Mum has just this moment said on FB that the potential sighting of him at Hollow Road was by an elderly gentleman and it is not Corrie confirmed by Police and there was cctv in that area.

  • #688
Can all pings that matched .corries in time and location not be traced?

  • #689
Thinking about the map of the possible routes of the bin lorry, particularly the 'triangle' route. The phone can't jump out of the bin lorry around Barton Mills if the bin lorry was continuing to Newmarket/Thetford/Norwich. So if the phone stays in the Barton Mills/Mildenhall general region until around 8am, then it can't have been in the bin lorry?

Edit: if the bin lorry's destination was the Mildenhall waste centre on the map in the post above mine by JamesKing, then the phone could have been in the bin lorry. Ugh, I thought maybe we could finally rule out the bin lorry :scared:

Now that....is a damn good point! I would imagine even if the driver started at 0330 that morning his WTD regulations and his Driver's Hours wouldn't allow him past 0800 at the latest? If that's the case (again without doing some checks) then the bin lorry would be well PAST Barton Mills area by then...? That suggests that the phone COULD NOT have been in the bin?!
Let me crunch the numbers.

The only place in Bury that has cameras that capture things !

I'd imagine to a certain extent this can technically be done but there would be legal/privacy issues I would think?

28 minute travel time
And the 4.20am last ping

I don't have a clue what the police were trying to do quoting 8am.
In my opinion, it may have been something to do with operations. flush somebody out. I don't know.

I THINK the police stated that 'the last phone update was at 0420 in the Barton Mills mast area and the phone was either turned off or the power failed at around 0800'?

Can't they "data dump" from towers ?
In the Alps murders (Al Hilli), wasn't there a "mystery motorcyclist" that was eventually located from his mobile phone...and he'd not used it.

Of course a kidnapper would make sure his phone was completely off (if a pre planned kidnap).

They said they "searched the rubbish" also.... but that was either "not done" or "not possible to do".
No idea what the police are saying these days.

Note that Uncle Tony has made it clear that their are people in the flats nearby that stay in those flats and these people are not of sane mind. He indicates that this could be something to go on. This is clearly something he is serious about keeping an eye on.

He says that its possible Corrie may have walked into a drug deal round that corner and something may have happened then.

There are 2 cars unaccounted for which visited that area in the timeframe, 1 of which went the wrong way down the 1 way system which he indicates great concern. Police have not seen this footage as the family went knocking on doors themselves to gather information and was showed this CCTV. I am guessing the police have now seen it. Shocking! Only 6 weeks later!

I think now this is why they are asking for these people to come forward if they were traveling in a vehicle so they can start the lengthly process of eliminating cars and narrowing it down. Clearly the CCTV didnt pick up reg numbers though as I would think they would be straight on that otherwise and we would not of heard about this.

If no one comes forward for these 2 cars in the coming days now they made the appeal today for it, well.........

Tony is 99% sure Corrie left in a vehicle.... based on his intelligence, I believe him. Corrie was taken from that dead end for whatever reason, we may never know why or what happened that night.

Honestly I'm not sure what the capabilities are. My bigger worry is whether Suffolk Police have even got round to looking at doing things like this given the problems the family have highlighted.

I remember the Sadie Hartley case from late last year and the documentary that was shown a few months later. It showed just how quick the Police in that case were able get CCTV/phone records/forensic results/trace&find car.

The whole case was sown up in 4 days albeit helped by not the smartest perps.

I've seen that question asked a few times in the facebook group, I haven't yet seen anyone answer it but it could be that the family haven't seen the question amongst all the other posts

Uncle Tony says its all about finance and the police basically not having any. I bet that the police thought he would probably turn up within a day or so.

Now look! Hope they have learned a lesson from this...

Unfortunately, Tony Wringe's last update says that the bin lorry did empty its load at the Mildenhall waste and recycling centre, which is right in the 'ping zone'.
