What a shame she went on to open the door again to an unexpected visitor at night, a week later.

Prosecution say that on Jan 10 defendants bought a Renault Clio for £430 cash from a man called David Jones in Littleton.

[h=3]'Ready to move'[/h]Mr McDermott said Sarah Williams Volvo is picked up on ANPR in the Sale area of Manchester on January 10.
At 5.47pm Sarah Williams texts Katrina Walsh and says: ‘See you shortly’. Walsh replies: ‘Ready to move’.

Absolutely. Particularly after having been concerned about the odd flower delivery.

Mr Jones said passenger got out covering scarf with face because she had a cold. Prosecutors say that was Walsh.

Prosecution then say tracker shows car the women were in went back to Williams house.

BIB Sorry but had to laugh at her stupidity.

[h=3]Pair go to buy 'rather anonymous' Renault Clio[/h]Mr McDermott said at 6.21pm they are tracked to Fir Tree Lane where the car seller had a Renault Clio to sell. They later returned with £430 to buy it.
One of the women had a scarf covering her face as she claimed she ‘had a cold’.
Mr McDermott said it was a ‘cheap and rather anonymous Clio’ and was parked close to Sarah Williams’ home on Treborth Road.

Tea break.

Gosh the prosecution aren't wasting any time are they. Galloping through. And decent reporting - compared to some trials.

Adjourned for another refreshment break. Prosecution opening set to finish around 4.15pm and then resume in the morning

Yes, I wouldn't have opened the door after that. If they were nice flowers than I'd maybe not be suspicious, but a cheap and anonymous bunch of Chrysanths from someone not in a delivery van or uniform is almost like a warning / hate message. Easy to say in hindsight I suppose. Unless she knew that this female was in the background of her partner's life still.

It would have been pitch black after 9 pm in January as well. Maybe after a strange but uneventful caller a week earlier she had a false sense of security? What a tragedy, what an evil pair of women.

I am remembering now, how the police put out a statement saying they wanted to speak with the driver / passengers of a Clio.

They really seem to have left a huge trail of information behind them - fortunately for the Pros.

No way would I open my door at 9pm on a pitch black night.

Ah, have to go to a meeting...will catch up this evening.

Honestly this pair. If it wasn't a murder trial I'd compare them to Laurel and Hardy. They go to the bother of travelling abroad to buy a taser gun, buying a car for cash with a scarf over her face, buying burner phones, and then stroll around in front of CCTV cameras undisguised, deliver cheap flowers late at night to their victim, and keep a diary of it.

[h=3]Tracker tracked Williams' movements two days before murder[/h]Mr McDermott said on January 12 - two days before the murder - more preparations were being carried out.
He told the jury that the tracker ‘unbeknown to Williams’ was still tracking her movements.
The tracker and her two ‘legitimate’ mobile phones were located at Cheshire Oaks retail park near Ellesmere Port and the tracker and the Volvo went to Marks and Spencer’s.
Sarah Williams was there for one hour in M&S and bought clothes and took out £50 cash with her bank card at about 6.40pm.
About fifteen minutes later the ‘same figure’ wearing the same ‘distinctive sweater’ entered a shoe store called Deichmann’s on the retail park next to Cheshire Oaks.
Mr McDermott said Sarah Williams’ and that she bought a pair of size 10 boots.

[h=3]'Wrong size' footprints left at scene[/h]The jury heard how Katrina Walsh told the police in her interviews after arrest that Williams had thought this was a ‘very clever move to throw the police off the scent’.
Mr McDermott said: “If any footwear marks were left at the scene they would be the wrong size for Sarah Williams.”
Mr McDermott said the footwear marks were left at the scene - in the blood of Sadie Hartley - on the wooden floor of her hallway.

[h=3]Sadie shown buying 'significant number' of clothes at M&S[/h]CCTV is now being shown to the jury of Sadie Hartley entering M&S, buying a ‘quite significant number’ of clothes and then using the cash machine.

[h=3]CCTV: Williams buys size 10 boots[/h]More CCTV is now being played of Sarah Williams at the Deichmann’s store buying the size 10 boots.

Prosecution say boots were replicated. Those used in murder were stashed in stream by Walsh it is said.

And getting tracked by the tracker they bought to track the victim.
