Devastating what that child endured, pure evil.

Shocking they left her behind, a solid testament to abuse she incurred. May each bruise, bitemark, welt, fracture, word speak for her now and send these monsters to prison for life. It won't be enough but it'll prevent them from harming another child.

They tried to break this beautiful, bright child. Succeeded only in revealing the depths of their darkness.

These abusers were so cunning.

1. Sara started wearing hijab to school to hide injuries.
Her younger sisters didn't wear them.
(there is a photo in the threads with 3 of them.
Younger girls were wearing cute school uniforms,
Sara was wearing BLACK hijab.
Black from head to toes.
A little girl, mind you.

A girl who once dreamt of becoming a model - according to Mum.
A girl who loved nice, cute, colourful clothes - as any little girl)

2. The abuse was noticed by teachers (marks on face) in March.

3. In April she was pulled out of school,
on the pretext she
"was bullied because of wearing hijab".

Really...

"Sara's primary school noticed a bruise under her left eye in June 2022,
a bruise on her chin and a dark mark on her right eye in March 2023,
the court heard.

She gave multiple conflicting tales of how she got the injuries and used her hijab to conceal her face when questioned by teachers, Mr Emlyn Jones KC said.

Sara was withdrawn to be home schooled
in April 2023."

In the photo on that link you’ve posted (the one of her in a black hijab) I’m sure there is a bruise under her left eye - on the right as you look at the photo.

The whole thing makes me really sad and angry but I find it really upsetting and think it speaks volumes that in the photo of her plastered all over the press she has a black eye.

Sadly I think it’s even more cunning that that. As not only would the hijab hide the injuries, if anyone questioned why she’d started wearing it, the family would have accused people of religious discrimination or racism. The family may have even made thinly veiled threats about this when she suddenly started wearing it to prevent questions.

Exactly!!
Playing religion card.
Although, IMO,
they and whatever religion
are total opposites.

Also, IMO again,
the step"mother" began to feel all powerful in the marriage/relationship
(was it a real marriage?)
when she at last had a SON.
(after 3 daughters)

A son,
who, although not firstborn, was counterbalance to stepson.

(Is Urfan a firstborn son? Perhaps he inflicted violence on Sara too, but as to her death, and ultimate fatal injuries, perhaps he took responsibility for his wife's crime in that regard because he was certain he'd have a kind of full immunity, protected status as son, maybe firstborn. Family code perhaps. Further buffered by tradition. Children as possessions, "discipline" accepted, ergo his statement regarding disciplining "legally". IMO he had no intention ever of returning from Pakistan.)

Neighbour heard

‘single high pitched scream’

two days before Sara died, court told

:(

Neighbour heard a
“single high-pitched scream” of “someone in pain”
two days before Sara Sharif died,
jurors were told.

Prosecutor William Emlyn Jones KC said neighbours who spoke to police after the 10-year-old’s death said
“they had never seen or heard anything which caused them any concern”.

However,
a woman had recalled that
“she heard a noise that she considered very much out of the ordinary run of the noise from a family house”
on 6 August 2023,
the prosecutor said.

He continued:
“It was a single high-pitched scream, which lasted a couple of seconds and stopped suddenly".

“It sounded to her like the scream of someone in pain,
as she put it ‘it didn’t sound good’.”

The prosecution allege
Sara died two days later on 8 August last year
and the defendants flew to Pakistan the following day.

:(
Now we have reports of awful screams which stop suddenly which is odd, these reports go back as far as the previous family home; then mention of damage to Sara's neck bone which appears to be caused by strangulation.
I wonder if her father practiced strangling her to the point of unconsciousness as a way of quickly silencing her screams? That would explain his statement that she died after he 'went to far' meaning that she passed out on 6 August 2023 when he did so - and the neighbour heard the scream stop suddenly, and Sara did not regain consciousness, dying two days later.
Putting together the reports I'm reading today on this thread, it seems that the abuse started around 2018 in the previous home, when Sara would have been around 5 years old?

I think you are right about Urfan having no intention of returning to England. I do wonder what his motive was in leaving the note with her body and in phoning the police as soon as he arrived in Pakistan. Was it just him wanting a Muslin funeral for Sara ?

Yes,
Hyoid bone was damaged/fractured
as was reported :(

"Prosecutor Bill Emlyn Jones, KC, told jurors at the Old Bailey today
that multiple fractures to 10-year-old Sara's hyoid bone
suggested
there had been incidents where she had been strangled in the weeks before her death."

Also,
I remember reports from last year
that Police spent much time in previous home.
Looking for evidence of abuse no doubt.

In my opinion yes. I think they all only cared about themselves.

IMO he only called because he was confident he was untouchable from Pakistan.

Suddenly he cares about her burial.

But couldn't be troubled to get Sara to a doctor. But of course we know why. Waited until she was dead and he was out of reach of LE. Glad he was wrong.

May they get their due.

Quite. (Replying to Skigh post 1031)
I'm puzzled by the way he has admitted to killing Sara, promoted himself as a violent father who 'lost it' and 'went too far', and even 'ready to face the death penalty' It makes me think that he could be hiding something worse - if that is possible? and deflecting attention from something else that was going on in the house(s).
I think a Muslim funeral is meant to take place within 24 hours of death, so this request could be - besides being another distraction - a long shot at a burial without a post-mortem.

Their whinging about "being scared of torture" in Pakistan is soooo pathetic.

Even their homeland turned its back on them.

Bravo Pakistani Police!

These individuals really thought they would avoid Justice
Now, that is priceless.
