If the firewood was purchased and delivered, it would likely be left by the gate. Delivery guys don't carry firewood up to your house, they leave it where they can part their truck.
It is our experience that if you buy firewood and have it delivered, it would likely be put outside the fence gate. They won't carry it to far from their truck.
Why is a 4 year old too young to go to the grandparents?
Could be the grandparents didn't have room for 5 or 6 kids in their house or taking on 6 kids was simply too many considering how active and moody 3 and 4 year olds can be.
In the newly released affidavit, I believe it is stated that the remains found near the fire pit were "charred". I think they tried to burn the body but some of it didn't burn. They buried what was left.

IMO, she was put in the woods because the neighborhood was on lock-down and the killer couldn't get her out of there. I think the perp realized they were going to get caught, put her in the woods and committed suicide.
