I've been craving some mulagatani for weeks, but restaurants and grocery stores are low priority these days, thanks to The Trial. I was looking on Friday to see what ingredients I have to make soup. It would have to be hot dog and green pepper soup, in a delicate vanilla pudding broth.
I think ALV said yesterday she has testified in 10 prior criminal trials. I'm just wondering if there is any record of whether she was helpful in those trials.. did her "side" win?
Awww man, I just realized my comment above was worded badly. When I referred to "expert WS'ers" I meant all the great posters here (and I'm very grateful for the replies I've already received from the attorney experts).
Greetings all. I don't get to visit here too much but I sure appreciate all the information and opinions from the expert WS'ers.
I'm wondering two things.
How long as the legal process been in effect in Arizona that allows jurors to ask questions of the witnesses? It seems like a great...
Oh my. That was a very dramatic press conference. I'm thinking the DA's office isn't even close to pursuing a conspiracy charge against Andrea; Ron James seemed to really downplay that unless there's some new surprise evidence.
I wonder when Hemy's estranged wife, Arielle (with her VERY...
Oh, no, he did NOT just say that!!
"if he would have gotten smacked more with a belt maybe he wouldn't have killed a guy."
I don't know about this prosecutor. He's great on his feet and I bet the jury's wide awake, but, IMO, he's being too cutsie and flip, and it might back-fire. I'm...
Geez, I need to study our legal process more to understand why it's okay to make such strong, unproven accusations against third parties during opening and closing arguments. It drove me nuts during the Anthony trial (with the accusations of incest against George), and it's driving me nuts with...
Morning, Sleuth peeps. The discussion about the insanity plea is very interesting this morning, and also gives me headaches :( I have a general juror-rules type question that may or may not be related.
I was watching the movie, A Time to Kill, last night. It was a fictional story; the...
I'm soooo confused. I turned away from the testimony for two seconds and all of a sudden court was in recess until Thursday.
Did the defense complete its questioning of the newest expert/psychiatrist (I think her name was Dr. Marks??), or was it halted abruptly?
I sure wish this was...
Actually, I wondered about the "Ms" stuff yesterday; I think I would have corrected the lawyer on this right off the bat, and I was surprised it took her so long.
I thought the lawyer's question about the scoffing was a legitimate question; why did the judge shoot him down on it??
I think it's way more than a bit, and I wonder if it's her nerves or some sort of strategy. At any rate, I can imagine I'd be less than pleasant if I were in her situation. The defense is being very gentle with her thus far. I'm thinking that will change soon.
