The 12:23 time at Brovan, along with the sighting of the girls between 12:30 and 1:00 pm on Gilbert was not officially released until a couple of months into the investigation. I just posted the link and quote, twice.
Hope this is better. : ) From the Courier:
Snipped: "Abben also gave new details as to times and locations the girls were last seen July 13.
Deputies said the girls were seen at about 12:23 p.m. July 13 on Brovan Boulevard in Evansdale, and then spotted between 12:30 and 1 p.m. on Gilbert...
Snipped: "Rick Abben, chief deputy at the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office, said in a statement Thursday. "Both girls were last seen on July 13 at 12:15 p.m. riding their bicycles away from the Collins residence in Evansdale. We have information that the girls were seen approximately 12:23...
Seems there is some confusion, so maybe this will help?
From the article re the attempted abduction in Cedar Rapids:
"The white female was in her 20s, thin build, shoulder length brown hair and a tattoo on the thumb web of her left hand."
That description does not match the heavy set...
I have all the same questions. I noticed in a recent article you posted the other day (pretty sure it was you, anyway) it was reported that the girls left the Collin's home around 12:15. I seem to remember that the time the girls left for their ride changed a few times early on and was discussed...
Speculation aside, in the interview with Ron Steele, at about the 8:30 mark, Heather specifically states the time they had ice cream as between "9, 9:30 every night".

BBM. Isn't it possible that both Mr C and Heather are being truthful?
If the family finished their evening meal by 6 pm, and the wee ones went to bed at 8 or 9, that would leave plenty of time for Liz to be out biking and chatting then home in time for ice cream. It takes less than 10 minutes...
Child support is determined by the income of both parents, as well as by the percent of time each parent gets the children, along with various other factors, such as day care and medical costs.

I would guess it is similar in CO.
BBM. I have tried to keep up, but admittedly am behind. I feel like I am reading the same thing over and over anyway, though, so, frankly, it gets tiresome for me.
It seems to have moved from pure speculation to fact that MR did not return ER's texts the day Dylan went missing because ER was...
Just jumping off your post, katydid, but if those poor girls were kept alive until recently, and LE has had a suspect(s) all along, I would call that a fail of astronomical proportions on the part of LE. I am going to hope that is not the case. moo
Do you, or someone, have a link for that?
I thought there was a court order based on a complaint made by MR. I did not see anything about an investigation, but maybe I missed it? Kinda curious why ER would not have a record if she was investigated and found to be driving drunk with the kids.
According to white pages, Lawn Watering Man lives on the corner of Lake and Gilbert Drive.
I don't recall that Mr C ever specified to the media on which road he saw them. I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall only that he said they would go by his house then turn around at the end of the...
BBM. That is actually what a "blackout" is- having no memory of what you did while you were drunk. Blacking out and passing out are two entirely different things.
