    GUILTY UK - Helen Bailey, 51, Royston, 11 April 2016 #1

I think that must have had a real impact, given that JS has not seen him since he has been in prison, and Michelle (WS member) said sons did not look at him. It's hitting home now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I too have been pondering in the wee small hours. I have suspicions that IS is a bit of a Walter Mitty character, leading people to believe he was financially more solvent than he was and was living with large debts, therefore I agree with MillyM he had got himself mixed up in shady deals, "Joe...

I do find it odd that Power of Attorney was put in place at such a young age, albeit for if and when needed. My father gave me POA when he was in his seventies and his health was failing, which seems the right time. So I have wondered wether, plying her with drugs and clearly making her think...

I have been sadly following this case, and since The arrest of IS have been baffled as to what his defence would be. I know there is much more to hear, but it seems he will definitely go with that Helen was taking said medication herself, hence the cross on her eating and drinking habits, all...

GUILTY UK - Sadie Hartley, 60, murdered, Helmshore, Lancs, 14 Jan 2016 #1

Welcome. krmh I said in my post above that I fear KW taking the stand, I hoped I would be wrong. Is SW presenting a different KW to whom in fact she is?

Oh my, I do not envy the Jury, innocent until proven guilty and all that!, SW is standing her ground. The evidence is IMO totally damming but she is proving to be formidable (sociopath?) I fear KW taking the stand, SW has told the court that she is highly intelligent has an excellent memory...

This just gets more ridiculous, in most murders it is usually a case of "Occam's razor" this one is a case of "you could not make it up"....fascinating.

Thanks for the updates Alyce. I am finding this case fascinating, I wish there had been more coverage, hopefully there will be more now. So it seems that regardless of all the evidence the police gathered SW is going to deny all and perhaps implicate KW, the evidence seems pretty damming for...

Me too mrazda71, well two of my four know mine plus my two grandsons, it is quite usual for me to say can you get some money out for me, or when my grandsons come to stay they go off to the shops for goodies with my card, I think within most families it is usual to know pin no's, so IS knowing...

I have been thinking about this too, the only thing that I could think of was that perhaps Helen had been enquiring with the dog rescue centre if there were any dog watchers that they knew of. We know that she had booked a dog watching service for the holiday that had been booked, however given...

I have been following Helens case from the start, and would like to say thanks to all of the posters here for the updates and insights. Although I suspected the worst....hope springs eternal....So I was deeply deeply saddened with the outcome. RIP Helen and Boris. Whilst I understand that...

GUILTY UK - Ellie Butler, 6, brutally murdered, Sutton, 28 Oct 2013 #2

The video with Neal, is just so so absolutely heartbreaking, such dignity and what a safe and loving home Ellie had. I cannot ever imagine his pain, what he and his wife had to step back from and endure is unbelievable. I am feeling so utterly utterly sad.

Hi everyone, I am in the UK so I can do nothing constructive to help in any way, as in sharing information/posters etc on my social media, but wanted to say that I am thinking of dear CT constantly, checking this thread hourly. Keep up the good work. Praying for this child to return ASAP...

Hoare 'angry at Nathan for chucking everything away' This girl really is a bit narcissistic imo, I am shocked that her thoughts are about her life, as she said in one of her interviews that she "could not believe he had done this to us"! Where is her absolute horror and disgust that he had...

Her lack of urinating, especially first thing in the morning should have worried her, it is just not normal.

UK & Eire database for all crimes against children She says: "It wasn't my money, it was his." - and briefly turns to face Nathan who is the dock behind the glass, he smiles First, I do not know how he can smile! in front of Becky's family to do that is beyond comprehension, how on earth can he...

I don't think this cross examination is going to go in hard on him, because it is Shauna Hoare's legal team, they will not want him to implicate SH. Will he be cross examined by another prosecution team?

Exactly! and what about the child? for goodness sake none of this is plausible, given that they could not use the kitchen and only lived in the bedroom, how on earth can you function? We have heard nothing about the poor child in all of this, it is beyond belief.

I have never done Jury Service, but sitting here following the trial day by day I am trying to imagine what it must be like. I understand that all evidence has to be analysed and beyond reasonable doubt is the clincher, but I cannot cannot believe that SH knew NOTHING!
