I should note that he did say that the sheriffs wife may have been over zealous as well, but in no way does that mean she actually has knowledge of the crime. Just he thinks that it is odd behavior that would have made him want to find out exactly if she did or did not one way or another. And...

His thoughts were as follows. He said he firmly believes that sadly Brandon is no longer living due to the time he has been missing. He doesn't believe that his warrant was significant enough to cause him to leave his family being he had small children. He did say also that there is known cartel...

I had the pleasure of discussing this case with a 26 year veteran of the FBI this last weekend. He gave me a lot of insight on his theory of what may have taken place that night. Love that he was so interested and intrigued by this case as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I was rolling a scenario around in my mind like the story linked. Maybe he ran into someone like theses guys. Thinking he could get their help but actually witnessing something that got him killed...

In my opinion he may not have always called them troopers but in a panic mode he may have said it from simply seeing it on the cruiser. People under stress, from my experience don't always follow their own norm including speech. But if it was in his line of sight at the time of his 911 call, he...

I have brought this same scenario up before and I truly believe it has some merit. Being I've worked LE, I can vouch that there are bad apples in EVERY branch of LE. But as whole they do try to maintain the upmost integrity. I was shut down each time I tried to put this out there. I believe he...

This is an active oilfield area. Reason BL was working there. That being said, even dumps can run $200 a night in oilfield areas. I have boys who work out there in the oilfields and it's quite expensive to stay in a motel. Company usually pays for their rooms but owners jack those prices up on...

She no longer lives in the area, so that maybe is the reason she wants to rent home short term during search rather than paying for expensive nightly motel costs. Just my opinion. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

He will most likely be assigned a public defender. I doubt he has any means to pay a defense attorney. And I'm positive that he won't be inheriting or collecting insurance money now to do so either. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I get your drift well. In making the same speculation a few pages back, I think I stepped on some toes. But I have LE background and friends who are Troopers, and they say it's not impossible. One stating that there is always "bad apples" in any LE agency, and DPS isn't immune. I do have to say...

I hear "state trooper" too. There has been some discussion on that and many questions as to why he would call them that. Well....the answer to that is in the pic. State Trooper is plastered all over DPS cruisers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Well I know more than a few TDPS personally, and I mean no disrespect to them, but even they have said it's possible. There are bad people everywhere & some wear uniforms unfortunately. Troopers are human too, and subject to human frailties. Meaning even they can have errors in judgment. You...

Troopers are suppose to call in a stop but they aren't going to if they are doing something illegal themselves. Agree? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Constables in Texas are not the same thing as a state DPS Trooper. Constables are a different LE entity altogether. And I never heard anything about a rabbits foot. Sounds interesting. Anyone remember that convo? Would love to hear more about it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Actually I am Texan born & raised and I've always called them State Troopers. Also LE I've worked with call them State Troopers. Highway Patrol is also another name used frequently when referring to them as a whole, but one is usually a trooper. So saying that it's not used in Texas won't hold...
