    2011.06.04 Sidebar Day Ten [MERGED]

I covered a murder trial here in Virginia years ago in which a juror was doing the same thing. One of the attorneys raised the point that the juror appeared to be asleep and couldn't be giving the evidence the proper consideration. The judge agreed to toss the juror off the panel. She claimed...

2010.06.28 - Kyron's Dad files for divorce and restraining order

Well, that makes sense. I'm questioning this because as a longtime newspaperwoman, it made no sense that an internet board wouldn't follow the same procedures as a newspaper. And believe me, newspapers take these things very seriously. I don't know that real facts wouldn't be just as...

2010.06.28 - Kyron's Dad files for divorce and restraining order

The baby's name is being used in every news story I'm seeing so I don't quite get this. If this were a newspaper, you would only protect a child's name if they were the defendant in a crime and not being tried as an adult or a victim of sex abuse. Certainly the missing child's name is...

Peru - Stephany Flores, 21, murdered in Lima hotel room, 30 May 2010 #3

Don't forget in Aruba, it was Joran's father who was prominent and influential. In Peru, it's the victim's father who is prominent and influential. And, I don't think the Aruban authorities who did cover up ever expected Natalee's disappearance would warrant the worldwide attention it did...

Newsweek reporter gives Websleuths a pat on the back

http://www.newsweek.com/id/238159 I have no idea what forum to post this in. If there's a more appropriate one, would someone please move it. The headline for this story is "Would Bloggers Have Cracked Chandra's Case?" It's an interesting look at how reporters and police stumbled in...

George and Cindy Anthonys Body Language and Comments Indicates They Are Feigning

I finally found the post where I found the exact schedule for Food Network that day. I didn't realize he had ever said he was watching Diners, Driveins and Dives. That show didn't come on until 1 pm. Here's the old post from Sept. 2008. You can't find this old schedule for that date on the Food...

George and Cindy Anthonys Body Language and Comments Indicates They Are Feigning

It maybe have been me. I saw Cindy on Greta van Susteren, not NG, the first night this story broke and almost immediately thought, "Something's really not right here and I think she's lying." She didn't act at all like I would if one of my grandchildren was missing - no frantic worry, no grief...

Casey & Family Psychological Profile #7

Bolded by me. I completely disagree with the bolded statement above. I've covered at least a couple of capital murder trials where the defendant was obviously mentally ill and it sure didn't stop the state from pursuing and getting the death penalty. Everyone I interviewed on the juries...

    2009.05.08 Nancy Grace

If he's convicted, he'll not only lose his pension, he'll lose all the property and money he was able to grab because of Kathleen's death. Plus the family could sue in civil court for wrongful death. I don't think he's going to be able to set anyone up for like.

    Details Emerge: Casey/Cindy Fight - Part 2

Wow. Great job. You said above Casey texts herself. Why was she texting herself?

    Details Emerge: Casey/Cindy Fight - Part 2

Not to quibble, but the e-pass would only show that someone went in that direction that day, right? Not whether George and Cindy were both in the car or exactly where they went?

Casey thanked Cindy for calling 911 after first call

I understand - that's what I mean by appease. I thought all of this at first, although I don't think any therapist would give anyone detailed instructions on what to say. More like, "Have you tried speaking calmly when she's angry?" Now I think Cindy probably has always vacillated between...

Casey thanked Cindy for calling 911 after first call

Unless I'm confusing this with another thread - entirely possible today LOL - there have been quite a few posts discussing the fact that Cindy's therapist supposedly told her she should seek custody.

Casey thanked Cindy for calling 911 after first call

I think the only source that Cindy saw a therapist was Cindy herself. I thought so too at first that Cindy was behaving the way she was in the jail calls, etc. because someone had advised her on how to appease Casey. But now, after seeing how Cindy manipulates, I don't believe she was...

Casey thanked Cindy for calling 911 after first call

Didn't Cindy only go to the therapist once? My guess is the therapist never told Cindy much of anything and that Cindy, like a lot of people, only heard what she wanted to hear no matter what the therapist actually said.
