I agree with you. But thats just one agency that laughed it off. Eventually they are going to have to take it seriously. Like I said...just as gun laws are being asked to change we also have to force change in this area too

It is illegal for a handgun to be sold to someone under 18. Id report it to LE. Id then report it to the school. At that point Id expect LE to investigate how he obtained the weapon lawfully. Do his parents know? What if LE investigated, found out he owned the gun illegally. Thats at least...
So as we fight for more gun control we fight for better training to take these offenses seriously. It has to be a multi prong approach.

Nope I dont think it violates anything...but picture of guns+picture of born to kill shirt = red flag to me. Im not reporting it to FB. Im reporting it to local LE and the school.

Add it to the born to kill shirt posted. Thats my whole point. The warning signs are cumulative. If I see a minor taking a picture of a handgun and posting it on Instagram without his parents IN the picture with him..Im reporting it. Sorry if you disagree.

So it is illegal to sell a handgun to someone under 18. Yet he posts a picture of a handgun on social media. Without getting into specifics of TX law, to me that is a warning sign which should have been reported to LE for them to follow up on. We will see if that happened.

Not judging parents either but he posted a picture of that shirt on FB and the weapons on Instagram. SOMEONE saw them.

It was an example of the signs that were missed. And I bet as this unfolds it will be the same sort of story as the previous school shootings.

Im NOT blaming everyone else. I have ZERO idea how you are getting that from me. It IS a chain reaction. Kids kill animals, they say they want to join military to kill people, etc. there are almost ALWAYS warning signs. There is no one to blame but the shooter...but WE as a country have to...
Adam Lanza and all of those warning signs were taken seriously? Its a chain reaction.
What is your solution then if community and LE, etc. acting on warning signs more diligently is something you dont think would solve the problem?

If we dont take THESE warning signs more serious is my point - https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usatoday.com/amp/341236002

Im not blaming anyone but the shooter. However, the community, law enforcement, etc need to take early warning signs more serious. Too often early signs are missed.

I have no real answers...but in most of these shootings there were clues, signs, YouTube videos, Instagram posts, etc. When something like this is heard or seen it needs to be taken seriously. Same as saying the word bomb in an airport.
