I agree that it is quite odd.

Excellent point. Kids are usually scared for a reason.

No one agreed that this is a possibility? I find it too hard to believe that she took a life for the thrill. I have a feeling there was a 'reason' for the crime. To plan it tells me she knew what she was doing and why. Also, from all the pics I've seen of EO, she was a little cutie and she may...

You made a wise choice and yes, there's nothing like grandchildren. I spoil mine as well. How many years did you work as a CO?

After my friend committed the crime, along with 2 other boys, they turned themselves in within minutes. They were arrested and my lil friend's mom was called and asked if they could 'ask' him a few questions and she said yes. He was interrogated for hours up to after midnight. He was so...

Here's my take for what it's worth. I think EO did something to totally tick off AB. It could be that EO saw something she did or something that AB or the boyfriend did to EO. EO threatened to tell, AB was upset, scared, or even jealous of something or someone who was giving EO attention, and AB...

I agree with you but if you noticed, I said there is help but it's considered self-help when they have to reach out and take that egg. I know there are jobs but they have to want to work. They can work only if they get their GED...again, they have to want to help themselves. If they want college...

She will not get help in prison, believe me. Prison is a place where true character is put into play. Either they self improve or they play the prison politics game and never really change except for the worse.

Missouri seems to be very hard on crime committed by a minor. My friend was given absolutely no slack, even though he had recently gone through a lot of trauma in his personal life. That added to the fact he was sent to a boarding school to work out his behavior issues that occurred following...

I'm sorry for some of that but I used to get the belt and I survived and still respect my parents. The friend in MO was not the one who scammed me...he was a friend of my kids. The guy who scammed me was out where I live in Calif.

He took the life of a minor. He was also a minor. He has LWOP. I have to say, he is different now and doesn't play the politics of prison. So many do as you know. I was scammed by a guy I used to visit in prison. I think the reason this case is so close to me is that my lil friend was also 15...

One thing I wanted to say...when the details of the crime came out that related to the 15 year old I knew, none of it made much sense and still doesn't. His got down to peer pressure from an 18 year old and he wanted to prove his 'toughness.' He came from a strict home-schooling background and...

Yes, I agree with you. My lil friend went in at 15, was certified, and was placed in Max Sec at 16...crazy. He has earned the priviledge of being in the honor wing. Recently he got sick. Does Jeff City have facilities for sick prisoners? He is now 29 btw...

It doesn't surprise me and you were wise to talk to him about it. On a side note, I am new here but I just want to say that I sense there are a lot of people on here who are emotionally involved and are a little sensitive. We need to be patient and understanding. If it's like that here...

In a sense, all those girls are victims. Many times people use people who follow a faith because they know they will show compassion and do things for them. I have been a victim of that as I am sure many can attest to similar experiences. I'm sure this is extremely difficult for your daughter...

Some schools have Bible studies and prayer sessions before school which could explain her going to 'church' daily. It's kind of surprising she was involved in anything like that considering...

CSquare, what prison did you work at? I had a friend in Crossroads for a long time. He's recently been moved to Jeff City. As far as Missouri prisons go, they are a heck of a lot better than the ones in Calif. In Calif, they are on perpetual lockdowns which stir up a LOT of anger among the...

Is anyone from here going to the certification hearing? I know a boy who committed a violent crime in Missouri at the age of 15 and he was certified. I think this girl will be as well. Just my opinion...
