It seems the Greg Dufty case is progressing quite well.

Crawford allegedly bought zip ties from Bunnings which were later used to restrain Mr Dufty. Police found zip ties at the location of the alleged murder.

Hopefully this could lead to a breakthrough in Novy's case as well. I wonder if Mr. Chardon went shopping in Bunnings around the time when Novy disappeared?
 
I've always thought these two cases had too many of the same POI.

Maybe a coincidence but Kopps Rd was also where a search was conducted for Novy Chardon as her car was reported seen there on the night of her dissappearance.

Novy's dissappearance was a success so maybe Greg Dufty's was handled in the same way?
 
Thanks for this update. I think there is a lot of the same people involved in both Novy's and Greg Dufty's murders. I just am not sure if the actual murders are related or just the same people.
 
On Facebook her page has a photo of a business card with her email address being "novychardon@hotmail.com". If you go to live.com.au and enter this email then "Forgot my password" it shows other email addresses as follows;

I wonder if the Police have looked into these accounts for possible leads.

Chardon was charged with three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 and one count of rape in August 2013.

Each charge also has aggravated circumstances of the child being under 12 years of age and under the defendant’s care at the time.

The charges involve two siblings and are alleged to have been committed on March 31, 2013 — the morning after the pair had slept the night at Chardon’s Upper Coomera home.

ABC news reporting he has been arrested for Novys murder.
 
I hope Novy's poor mother and family can now receive some justice and eventually find peace. This man is pure evil and never gave a damn about Novy's children, let alone his own children.

Just saw footage of John Chardon arriving at Brisbane watch house to be charged with the murder of Novy - channel 9, Today Extra show.

Finally. Well done to all police involved. Fingers crossed for a smooth trial, when it eventually happens, and a long jail term for Mr Chardon.
