Casey's Life in Jail, Visitors; Phone Calls; Commissary etc.#3

I am half Gypsy and we cannot withstand being confined. Gypsies were also rounded up and sent to death or work camps during WWII by the Nazis but died much quicker than the Jews, for example. They could not stand the confinement.

Hence, jail is one of my very worst nightmares.

But just the food alone would be torture for me. I don't eat processed foods or white refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup, chemicals or preservatives. I eat whole grains like brown rice, whole wheat, etc. I eat a lot of fresh fruit and fresh or frozen veggies, not canned.

I believe that the sugars I mentioned and processed foods plus chemicals, pesticides, preservatives, etc., kill people. They are poison, IMO. They cause cancer, they age you, they cause diabetes. I get physically ill if I eat them more than occasionally feeling weak, fatigued, low blood sugar and in the case of certain sugars, I get very anxious.

I would simply die in prison or jail. I know what they eat and there is nothing you can do about it. I would die.

You can tell that casey has not benefited from the diet. Her skin and hair look bad and she has gained weight. She will look even worse a decade from now.

Yup. I make sure that I never do anything that could cause me to go to jail.

I couldn't tolerate prison either. I too am very choosey about what I call food and put in my body. I couldn't sleep on those cots. I need my memeory foam, queen size temporedic mattress, my 1000 count sheets & pillowcases and down filled blanket and pillows. I couldn't ever imagine myself taking a shower for the rest of my life, I am a bath kinda gal. and on top of all of that...I don't look good in orange.
:rocker:

Me too! I've been tempted to drive across the bridge....

Let's ALL meet up & ask ICA, "What were you thinking?"
Possibly it was an accident!
All the manpower, time, expense & concern of the country! :banghead:

While watching the jury selections this week, I often thought how this must be starting to sink into ICA's reality. There she sits next to the lawyers who at the end of the day go back to their hotels, maybe having dinner and drinks together, going over the case, while ICA goes back to her cell. For those 8-10 hours a day she could pretend she had a real life, hanging with her pals, taking notes etc. It just MUST be sinking in. I think the trial is going to test her ability to maintain her composure. The more she hears the vivid evidence, the harder it will be for her to be composed. And as was obvious this past two weeks, when she is stressed, she shows her frustration on her face and in her actions. I hope she took in the way the "outburst" lady was escorted out of court only to reappear in a jumpsuit. This will be her in a few short weeks. She should be praying each night that she only receives LWOP.

Do you know that the Florida State prison for death row inmates is not air conditioned. Hmmmm, preparation for ....
:hot:
My opinion, and my opinion only.

I never knew the prison was not airconditioned until this case. I can not believe it... it is brutal during the summer months. Do they even have fans?? I would not be able to live on one shower a day... let alone a shower every couple of days in that environment.

Not that I care that Casey has to suffer like this. :floorlaugh:

If she gets too uncomfortably warm without airconditioning in prison she can always ask to have her sentence imposed and not appeal.... :twocents:

I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't be able to. But the few times I looked I don't think I've seen anything like that. One time I saw that some random guy had contributed close to $2. Big spender. :floorlaugh:

I don't know about her hair. I've seen some close up pics where it looks bad. I don't think she's washing it every day. Maybe every third day. I don't think that she can style it for court, she still should cut it into a shorter ponytail. She'd still look worn and weathered, but maybe slightly less so.

Seems like the last couple of days her hair reminds me on the compound women from 'Big Love'. Makes her face look even looooonger and her eyes even beadier, when she's not bulging them.

Maybe she's not cutting it until the trial is over. My younger brother is a Marine and whenever he's sent over to Afghanistan or wherever, my dad grows his hair out until my brother makes it home to the states. And I will tell you that we all have very thick, fast-growing hair so you can definitely tell!!

Latest lineup of jail photos (I thought this jail thread would be the most appropriate place to post):

In that last photo she reminds me of MistyC. with her hair pulled straight back like that.

The heat alone would make me want to die. After our last hurricane we went for 3 days with no electric. It was Sept. It was so hot/humid I couldnt sleep. It was awful!
I wonder if KC is missing her nice AIR CONDITIONED bedroom she had at the Ants? Life didn seem that bad.

If Casey receives life without parole, would she go to Lowell, or is there another facility she might go to?

I was just reading about Lowell and the article said that sometimes it is hotter inside the dorm or cells that it is outside. It was in the 90s here today.

I believe in a letter sent to ICA, CA says : Gramma knows why you are not cutting your hair and letting it grow...

I wonder what the reason is...

I think it is a JB "trick" KC was the short haired party girl, now she has the long hair, pulled back in buns - more sophisticated, not the girl in the party pics.
Her clothes are now "sensible" too.

I remember at one deposition JB must have gone shopping forher ad she had this shirt that looked hideous on her ... it had puffy sleeves (not a puffy as the Seinfeld pirate shirt - but puffy none-the-less)

Maybe Mrs. Baez bought her the puffy-sleeved shirt?

Are they not allowed to get hair cuts in jail/prison?
She looks better with short hair. Im surprised her lawyers havent suggested it. She looks younger, too with short hair.

I agree she looks better with the short hair, but the DT is "smart" in trying to distance ICA from that "look" and turn her into an entirely different person. Different hair, different clothes. No party girl look for her anymore.

Now if they could only work on those darn facial expressions, constant fidgeting, and take away her pen and paper. The jury is gonna see right through all of that nonsense.

MOO

I heard they grow their hair in prison for "locks for love." They need a certain length to make wigs for cancer patients.
