This is a good time to remind that Maxwell's detention memo states that authorities linked at least 15 bank accounts to her, with varying amounts stashed up to +$20 million. She also allegedly used all cash to buy her 156-acre N.H. property last December via an anonymous LLC.

Her father was broke, so did she inherit anything from him, like an untouchable trust fund, or did all her money come from Epstein?

Who would you trust, given that the same guy who ran the DOJ when Epstein died is running it now?

Dear @tayaway,

Excellent question!

I have no idea how they will decide who to trust - especially in this case.

In my opinion, this is such a sensitive case, possibly involving more powerful and wealthier persons than she. There has been nothing proven in court and G.M. is innocent unless found guilty in a trial.

I am not discounting any of the accusations, only stating that nothing has been proven in court, because Epstein did not have a trial.

Perhaps her attorneys will have a say in the arrangements? I have no idea, of course.

There needs to be a solid plan in place to protect G.M. That's all I believe.

Do you think there's a possibility they will move here from there and transport her to another facility and that information will be sealed and kept confidential?

These are only my thoughts and opinions with the hope that G.M. is kept safe.
She has been charged but not convicted of anything and she deserves to be kept safe.

Dear @tayaway,

That's a great idea, but I don't know anything about prison procedures, especially when it comes to somebody with possible info on a lot of the elite. So many powerful people have the money to get to her there.

Dear @tayaway,

Also, there is always a danger of harm to a prisoner who has been charged with crimes towards minors.

That's another reason why she needs to be watched for her protection, in my opinion.

Dear @tayaway,

I don't know of prison procedures, but given Epstein's death in a cell, I would think that keeping G.M. safe has brought forth much discussion around her incarceration.

You are absolutely right - she is a target and the authorities are well aware of the importance of her safety while incarcerated.

I really think she'll be secretly moved somewhere else and heavily guarded. Just my opinion and my hope.

Even if she intends to never tell names, people who are fearful of secrets coming out - don't know that.

I'm not stating that these people, powerful, wealthy or not are involved - no one wants secrets like these to come out.

Just my opinions and thoughts.

I really hope so, but there are famous and political people allegedly involved.

And the SDNY US Attorney was recently removed from his job.

Right and potential suicide after the shock of getting arrested is even a 3rd reason that she needs to be watched for her own safety.

It was not long ago that we saw a well known inmate murdered in prison.

"In particular, from at least in or about 1994, up to an including at least in or about 1997, Maxwell assisted, facilitated, and contributed to Jeffrey Epstein's abuse of minor girls by, among other things, helping Epstein to recruit, groom, and ultimately abuse victims known to Maxwell and Epstein to be under the age of 18," the indictment says. Those victims, according to the indictment, included girls as young as 14 years old.

During a press conference with the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), which is prosecuting the case, the FBI said they had been tracking Maxwell for months when she "slithered" away to a property in New Hampshire. This sparked the arrest on Thursday.
...
The indictment against Ms Maxwell, passed up by a grand jury in Manhattan, stated the woman "assisted, facilitated, and contributed to Jeffrey Epstein's abuse of minor girls by, among other things, helping Epstein to recruit, groom, and ultimately abuse the victims known to Maxwell and Epstein to be under the age of 18."

It added some of the victims were as young as 14, with the abuse starting from "at least in or about" 1994 to about 1997.
"In some instances, Ms Maxwell was present for and participated in the sexual abuse of minor victims," the indictment added.

Six counts are listed in the indictment, including conspiracy to to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and perjury.

Despite Epstein’s death, prosecutors continue to investigate his sex crimes, leaving open the possibility for associates involved to be charged with crimes.

One day before his suicide, on 10 August 2019, federal prosecutors released a transcript of a 2016 deposition where Epstein refused to say if Ms Maxwell was involved in procuring young girls.

The indictment released on Thursday cited Ms Maxwell for "knowingly" making false declarations in 2016 after taking an oath to testify truthfully.

Next, lets arrest Prince Andrew. Bet he's back to sweating with the news of Ghislaines arrest.

Wonder how they can go about this, as he, 'being a Royal'.
Hope, he just does not live his life, away from the public, seemingly not 'being in strife'.
He could continue living a Covid-19 life, with riches to keep him in luxury.
Oh, how 'others' may have hidden privileges, they we don't.
MOO.

He is ruined anyway regardless of what he now does. Nobody could watch that interview and come away thinking he was innocent. That’s why the Royal family had to get rid of him to try and lessen the damage he has done to them.

MOO

How Ghislaine Maxwell lived a 'life of privilege' on the run

Even in hiding, Ghislaine Maxwell lived the high life.

The British socialite, arrested Thursday for her alleged role in disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, has been “hiding out in locations in New England” since the now deceased financier’s arrest last July – most recently on an 156-acre property in Bradford, New Hampshire.
“This stunning custom-designed Timber Frame home is an amazing retreat for the nature lover who also wants total privacy,” one website said, describing it as a four-bedroom, four-bath home totaling 4,365 sq ft. Two real estate websites claim this estate sold for $1,070,750.

Maxwell bought the Bradford property last December in an all-cash purchase.

At a press conference, William Sweeney, assistant director-in-charge of the New York FBI office, described the real estate as “a gorgeous property” where she continued to live a “life of privilege” until her arrest at 8.30am this morning.
The description of Maxwell’s recent whereabouts and her time on the run is one of several details revealed in prosecutors’ written argument aimed at persuading a judge to detain her pending a trial. If convicted, the 58-year-old Maxwell faces up to 35 years in federal prison.

Maxwell, who was born in France, also has citizenship in the UK and US. She appears to hold passports for these three countries, federal prosecutors wrote.

Travel records indicate that Maxwell has “engaged in frequent international travel, including at least 15 international flights in the last three years to locations including the United Kingdom, Japan, and Qatar”, they also said.

When Maxwell stopped appearing in public, authorities argued, “it appears that she made intentional efforts to avoid detection”. These alleged efforts included “moving locations at least twice, switching her primary phone number (which she registered under the name ‘G Max’) and email address, and ordering packages for delivery with a different person listed on the shipping label”.

The sprawling property in Bradford where she was arrested was purchased “through a carefully anonymized LLC”, federal prosecutors said.

Maxwell also has the money to flee if let out on bail, they maintained.

At the end:

How Ghislaine Maxwell lived a 'life of privilege' on the run
...
At some point, Maxwell disclosed that as recently as last year, she has one or more foreign bank accounts, with more than $1m.

The prosecution also maintains that from 2007 to 2011, around more than $20m was moved from accounts linked to Epstein, to accounts linked to Maxwell. Some of these transfers were “in the millions of dollars” and “were then subsequently transferred back to accounts associated with Epstein”.

The prosecutors argue that Maxwell’s wealth and behavior meant that she represented a serious flight risk.

“The strength of the government’s evidence and the substantial prison term the defendant would face upon conviction all create a strong incentive for the defendant to flee. That risk is only amplified by the defendant’s extensive international ties, her citizenship in two foreign countries, her wealth and her lack of meaningful ties to the United States,” prosecutors wrote. “In short, Maxwell has three passports, large sums of money, extensive international connections and absolutely no reason to stay in the United States and face the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence.”

Odd that she stayed in the US, with the FBI on her tail. She could have better hid out in France, in the Pyrenees or some remote place....or in Qatar for that matter (wonder what she was doing there)

Its a great question that I hope she answers someday.

With the kind of money she supposedly had access to, I am sure there is a country out there that would have obliged. With a generous yearly gratitude donation to the local officials and any LE she could have stayed indefinitely.
