I could be wrong, but didn't it take them a bit to even determine that these remains were female? That indicates to me that they were at least partially skeletonized. I may have misread that somewhere, though, which would change my whole opinion on this (if they weren't skeletonized, then it is very unlikely to be anyone who disappeared any time before the last month or two). Anyway, if they
were skeletonized, trauma such as strangulation or bruises from being struck wouldn't be obvious if no bones were broken. The hyoid bone in the throat is so small it often goes missing in skeletonized remains (or so I was taught in forensic anthropology), so that wouldn't be a clue if the remains are older. It might not be around for them to determine if it was broken or not. Did Hannah's remains show signs of trauma? I know Morgan's did, but the trauma was so extensive I lean toward agreeing with those who believe her remains were run over by a tractor or harvester at some point.
I don't know, really. I just have a weird feeling about this one. But like I said before, they could be completely out of the right time frame or otherwise ruled out. Even if they can't be ruled out, if they are the remains of Autumn Day or Sophie Rivera, after 11 years I don't think it will be easy to connect it to anyone unless they made some major mistakes, unfortunately.
